Brock needs to beat RVD.

You can pick it apart if you want to, but the bottom line is that almost everybody nominated The Rock/Y2J for Feud of the Year for 2001. I mean, you got valid points about the phantom Benoit title changes. Hell, Rocky jobbed to Benoit due to Big Show interference as early as January or February of 2000. But Rocky did so much more for Jericho, who he put over like four times between No Mercy and the Royal Rumble. I just don't think that the Benoit or Booker T feuds were even *close* to being as good as the Y2J feud. That feud really captured everybody's imagination.

At one point, it did, but Jericho ended up worse-for-wear at the end, which is what has been said about just about every feud Rock has had with a new guy. And like I said, those guys at least had heat for the Rock to build upon or kill; Lesnar has no heat, no draw power, and the idea that he can get over a guy like him the way he did Jericho (even though it was short-lived) makes no sense. Nope.

I agree.  Lesnar is getting the shot...LIVE WITH IT, PEOPLE.  Almost all of us love RVD, but it would be a cop out for him to win the title shot.

You know, the "when fed shit, eat shit and like it" arguement is as vapid and tiresome as the WWE's product. I don't like the product, and I'm not going to force myself to like it.

You totally missed what I was saying, Ricky. I ENCOURAGE people to complain about the WWE. This is what I was saying: I was saying that it is extremly unlikely RVD will win the title shot, so I was telling everyone to get over Lesnar being in the main event. After all, you KNOW Vince is keeping Lesnar in the main event, so why mindlessly cling on to the hope that RVD will get his shot?

Isn't going to happen. Not being a pessimist, just being realistic.

Rocky's rub didn't "wear off". What happened was that Rocky brought Chris up to his level, but the WWE killed the rub by booking Chris like a lame-duck champ.

The poor guy was treated as a total underdog in his transitional feud with Austin, he nearly lost to Maven, and then HHH put the nail in his coffin.

Rocky did everything in his power to get Jericho over, and he succeeded. But the WWE dropped the ball.

What about having RVD use all of his offenense Vanterminator, Five Star, Vandaminator, 5 row plancha and still not able to put Lesnar away until Heyman Fucking up and RVD hiting say a Split Legged Moonsault for the win. After the match have Brock F5 Heyman and Become face to take on Taker at Summerslam hey Brock's not getting over as a heel may aswel turn him face hey it worked for Big Show Didn't it.

Nah...that makes RVD look weaker than Brock actually beating him clean. If they want to keep both guys going, I say they either have to swallow the evil SummerslamBrockBerg cake they've baked, or...no, they really can't do anything else.

Brock's gotta get a clean pinfall on RVD if he's going to look credible. Now that I think about it, who HAS Brock beaten? Booker T, Flair, Bubba, a bunch of jobbers, and the Hardys. I guess that's the best you're going to do on Raw with Austin walking and Taker, Benoit, and Eddie all heels...but damn, that's unimpressive. Beating RVD would at least make it look like Brock has worked his way up the ladder, and Taker/Angle/Rock is his first shot at a main event superstar.

They could have RVD lose to interference which would keep the feud semi-alive, kind of like the UT/RVD feud is still there in people's minds if WWE wants to renew it. Then maybe he can come on Raw and be pissed off and just start running a rampage, kind of like an Austin-face rampage just with wrestling instead of comedic antics. They can keep the feud-fire lit just enough so when Brock goes over at SS(if) then they can rekindle the feud. Just a possibility of course.

Ooooooooor. Possibly, UT loses to Rock because of interference by Brock Lesnar. Since Brock automatically faces Rock. UT will want a shot at Brock the following PPV(after Summerslam) yet, RVD who is still entangled in this web still wants a piece of Brock. So then UT/RVD have a match either at a RAW or the next PPV, to see who gets a shot at Brock Lesnar who will by that time probobaly be the champ, and hopefully RVD gets the shot, and then even if he doesn't win it the first time, it keeps their feud the focal point which will eventually lead to RVD being champ.......

I was thinking IF they REALLY want a UT-Brock match (I know they want Brock-Rock, but still).. in RVD-Brock...

UT runs in with the ref down with a chair.. RVD and Brock have given it their all and are staring down. UT enters... thinks for a second.. throws the chair to Brock, he catches it... VAN DAMINATOR!! UT chokeslams RVD, on top of Brock... RVD keeps his title and their is heat to UT-Brock.

Easy, no?

That's a pretty good idea. If RVD jobs 4 PPV's in a row that will totally suck then again atleast he will be more over than Triple H and Brock put together.
