Guest Hitman Jebus Posted July 18, 2002 Report Posted July 18, 2002 hhh/road dogg/billy gunn/savio vega vs. steve austin/owen hart/ken shamrock/owen hart (no way out 1998) It's actually HHH / Road Dogg / Billy Gunn / Savio Vega vs. Austin / Owen / Cactus Jack / Terry Funk I haven't seen it since the PPV in 98 but I remember it being a really good brawl...although it was obvious Austin was still recuperating from his neck injury...he came in during the final 2 minutes, cleaned house, and won...that's it. From November 97 to April 98, he never wrestled on RAW and wrestled for 5 minutes at the most on the PPV's (until WM14) but I guess the WWF needed him badly
Guest dreamer420 Posted July 18, 2002 Report Posted July 18, 2002 ken shamrock. what the fuck was i thinking there. actually if you want to get technical it was chainsaw charlie, not terry funk.
Guest Singular Posted July 18, 2002 Report Posted July 18, 2002 Royal Rumble 93. HBK vs. Marty Jannety. The Rocker's explode. Jericho vs. Douglas vs. Pitbull 1 vs. Scorpio From ECW. Take out Pitbull and it was awesome. Sabu vs. Al Snow Ladder match from an ECW house show. I have it on a best of ladder matches video. It's a fan cam, but it's an awesome match. Al Snow looks like a 20 year old.
Guest deadbeater Posted July 19, 2002 Report Posted July 19, 2002 One of the best matches I've seen was one between Akira Hokuto vs Aja Kong in a small gym. At the start of the clip, Hokuto piledrove Aja on the table (and it wasn't a breakaway one either--the camera quickly zoomed to the headprint Aja made on it). They then destroyed the gym going after each other, ripping blood and flesh. I believe that Aja finally won.
Guest Jerome Drake Posted July 19, 2002 Report Posted July 19, 2002 Best match I ever saw a Rey Jr. Vs. Eddie Guerreuro, at Halloween Havoic 1997.
Guest TheyCallMeMark Posted July 19, 2002 Report Posted July 19, 2002 Personal Favourite Matches: Michaels/Ramon ladder match ****3/4. Used to think it was the best match I ever saw, but I've seen it three times I think and I feel Sasuke/Liger was better. Still, it's a damn good match and it innovated a whole gimmick so I feel it's on part with pretty much anything else that has been put out. Sasuke v. Liger J cup '94 *****. Only seen it once, rating might be a bit high. Right now I feel it's the best match I've seen so it gets the ****. Sasuke v. Benoit J cup '94 ****3/4. Only seen it once, rating might be a bit off as with the Sasuke/Liger but a very, very strong match. It just wasn't as much of a markout match as Sasuke/Liger. Kurt Angle v. Booker T, SmackDown!, the one where Angle wins the WCW title for the first time. This is a freaking CLASSIC match but I don't know the date. Very underated. **** The Rock v. Chris Jericho, No Mercy 2001, ****1/2 Widly recognized as a good match, but I like it especially. The Angle/Kane series is underated as hell, and the matches range from ***, ***1/2 even one **** on SD!. Don't know the dates, but all the matches were good so they're worth checking out.
Guest deadbeater Posted July 19, 2002 Report Posted July 19, 2002 Oh shoot!! I was there at the Al Snow/RVD match. It got so insane. Al Snow did a ten punch to RVD at a turnbuckle, then jumped over the top rope to splash Sabu over a set table. Also, he kept on throwing back the chairs RVD threw to him, before conceeding to a third attempt of the VanDaminator..
