Chris Benoit "demoted", Booker T/Big Show...

Recommended Posts

Guest Downhome

The following is from The Law...

"Booker T has been in the process of a gradual, yet major push in WWE. He has officially made a face turn and has been working against the top heels on RAW, the nWo. However, the plans for Booker T's push, which eventually involved him beating Kevin Nash and entering WWE superstardom are over, due to Kevin Nash's injury and the apparent end of the nWo. Being that the last several weeks of Booker T's Raw presence have been spent in a feud with the nWo, with the ultimate goal of a Kevin Nash match, it seems that the plans will have to be changed. WWE portrayed Big Show as a tough heel on RAW to allow Booker T to have somewhat of a solid competitor at this weekend's Vengeance PPV, so it doesn't look like the death of the nWo meant the death of Booker T's push.

Chris Benoit is feeling the painful effects of backstage WWE trouble. The original plan for Benoit this summer was to have a top-tier, hot feud with Stone Cold Steve Austin. Obviously, with Austin's leave, the plans were modified to pit Benoit against Ric Flair, as Flair took Austin's place as the top babyface on RAW. However, with Ric Flair's run being over due to the fear of overbooking The Nature Boy, Benoit is now wrestling at the midcard level against talent such as Spike and Bubba. WWE is not punishing Benoit by any means, but feel that this is the only way he can be effectively used at this point."

...thoughts, comments, feelings, anything!?

Sincerely,

...Downhome...

I've got an idea. Feud him and Eddie with Goldust and Booker. Don't think Dust can work that level? Pair Bookah with Van Dam.

He's the doctor. MikeRX!

Drop the stupid brand split and get Benoit in there with some folks who can go like Edge, Angle, and Jericho.

That sounds a bit hasty, but I can't think of anything right now.

After Vengeance I demand a Benoit vs. RVD feud that lasts for at least 6 months.

If they refuse to use them properly...at least let them give us something worth seeing.

I guarantee they would have such a good feud that Benoit and RVD would leave it bigger than whatever schmuck is holding the WWE title at that time.

Hmm...by then it should be HHH again.

eh, as long as benoit comes out looking strong (damn on raw i was justing cheering for him to no-sell bubba!), and has somewhere to go afterwards (a fued w/ eddy g or rvd), then its ok. im just glad to see book getting elevated, though after he is done w/ show, there arent really any obvious heels to go w/ on raw, unless taker drops on sunday, allowing book to fued the taker.

I, too, would've loved to see that lengthy Benoit/Austin feud. Something that would grab my attention though would be to pair Eddy and Benoit to go against Booker T and Goldust. It will give the Tag Division much needed credibility. The Main Event has enough potential stars. The Tag Division needs a lot of fine tuning. That is all.

Eh, it doesn't bother me that much that Benoit is facing the new Dudleyz..as long as he and Eddie kill them at Vengeance, then feud with Bookdust for a few months...

Hopefully Booker T won't feud with Undertaker. I know how that feud would go.

why not have Eddy and Benoit have a "friendly competition" feud...no storyline needed, just have them putting on ****+ matches

They could always feud Benoit with Booker T once they are done getting Booker T over to uppercard/mainevent level. Obviously they are going to play out this feud with the Show, after that who knows. And I don't really see a problem with the way Benoit's been booked so far since it's letting him get his groove back and also making him look really strong (hasn't been pinned yet, has beaten guys up after matches, won that nice 6-man elimination match, etc.).

I'm pretty sure Dust and Book are finished as a team. The WWE seems to want to push Booker solo. Of course, Dustin could always take off the make-up and be a "movie director" manager for T. Maybe call him Stardust or some such.

How about Ziggy Stardust? Oh, wait...

Am I the only one who think a Benoit/RVD feud would be terrible? I just don't think they'd mesh right at all. At least Austin/Benoit are both technical (in theory, although Austin was basically nothing more than a brawler by the time he left) mat-based guys. RVD may be many things to many people, but he sure as hell isn't a technical wrestler, just as Benoit isn't a high-flyer (unless you count the diving headbutt ;))

Benoit can fly when he wants to. *points to NJPW/WCW work*

You wanna make some people a star?

1) Fuck the split

2) Take ALL the Canadians...and I mean ALL the Canadians, and turn them heel to join Team Canada...that would just build upa HUGE fucking storyline that EVERYBODY will be in to, and just like that....you'd have your major faces, versus your major heel stable.

But at that point it's just heel group vs. the world, and we've all seen how that ends up.

Booker T/Golddust vs. Benoit/Eddie is a perect holder feud.

Benoit can fly. Remember the tope into the chair at RR 2001.

Maybe when HHH is back from his injury, he can participate in a fued with Benoit to elevate him.
