Guest Lord of The Curry Posted July 18, 2002 Report Posted July 18, 2002 The topic is quite simple: Who has taken the worst ass-kicking in YOUR history of wrestling. This was inspired by the Classic Matches thread where somebody talked about the massive whooping that Kenta Kobashi got against Stan Hansen ( in 93, thanks to whoever corrected me on that one.) Some of my faves Al Snow vs Chris Benoit, ECW Double Tables. Benoit ~DOMINATES~ a short haired, pink-tighted Al Snow and controls roughly 90% of the offence in the match. Snow gets the piss powerbombed and suplexed out of him more times then I can count. Kenta Kobashi vs Stan Hansen, All Japan Tokyo Dome Show 93. Perhaps a mock transcript will suffice here. Stan: So kid, I hear you got this thing called "fighting spirit". *Hansen takes a shot of whiskey* Kobashi: *Nods head excitedly* Stan: And I hear that it allows you to no-sell stuff and almost "hulk-up", right? *Hansen takes another shot of whiskey* Kobashi: *Nods head again* True, Stan-san. Stan: *Gives Kobashi an evil smile* We shall see little one, we shall see. Later that evening Hansen proceeded to take whatever fighting spirit Kobashi had in him and knock it out of him with the sickest lariat ever. I'll post more later.
Guest bob_barron Posted July 18, 2002 Report Posted July 18, 2002 This thread has been posted before but its always a fun one. Taker v. Ric Flair from WMX-8- I love that match. Austin slaughtering Jake is always good for a laugh.
Guest Redhawk Posted July 18, 2002 Report Posted July 18, 2002 Stone Cold gave Vince a pretty good beating at St. Valentine's Day Massacre. Some other good beatings were Stone Cold beating Michael Cole (my personal favorite), The Nation beating up Triple H during that Street Fight, and Undertaker beating Mick Foley's ass in Hell in a Cell. I also enjoyed Undertaker beating up Arn Anderson and David Flair earlier this year.
Guest AndrewisyourHero Posted July 18, 2002 Report Posted July 18, 2002 Austin destroying Bert Hart in a wheelchair on RAW in '97
Guest Lord of The Curry Posted July 18, 2002 Report Posted July 18, 2002 Terry Funk takes an insane amount of punishment on ECW 1'st PPV, Barely Legal. After being in a 3 way w/ Sandman and Richards, he then fights Raven. The guy is gushing by the time it's over, having fought for roughly 45 or so minutes.
Guest BionicRedneck Posted July 18, 2002 Report Posted July 18, 2002 Vader kicking the crap out of Antonio Inoki always brings a smile on my face.
Guest Austin3164life Posted July 18, 2002 Report Posted July 18, 2002 I would have to say one of the best Raws ever had the best beatdown. It was the April 20-something edition of Raw in 1997, where Austin challenged Bret to that street fight. When Bret finally came out, Austin received somewhat of a vicious beating from Owen&Bulldog. Then, once Bret landed on the knee Austin brutalized it with the Steel Chair. The crowd popped like crazy, especially when Austin got the Sharpshooter on Bret. Then, the classic beatdown in the Ambulance, where Austin traps that driver in the window, and starts beating the snot out of Bret once more. Awesome "revenge"-type beatdown.
Guest godthedog Posted July 18, 2002 Report Posted July 18, 2002 either of the first 2 hell in a cell.
Guest y2jailbait Posted July 18, 2002 Report Posted July 18, 2002 Vader Beating down Gorilla Monsoon; Brutal, just brutal!
Guest dreamer420 Posted July 18, 2002 Report Posted July 18, 2002 i was going to say flair vs. undertaker from wrestlemania 18 as well. it was a brutal bloody match but still was a MOTYC IMO
Guest Hitman Jebus Posted July 18, 2002 Report Posted July 18, 2002 Team WWF destroying Palumbo and O'Haire on Smackdown (June 2001)
Guest dreamer420 Posted July 18, 2002 Report Posted July 18, 2002 you might as well just say the entire invasion angle. remember the night the old stone cold returned and stunned pretty well every alliance member in the middle of the ring. it was damn near a funeral with all the guys getting buried that night
Guest AlwaysPissedOff Posted July 18, 2002 Report Posted July 18, 2002 Vader/Sting from Great American Bash '92. THAT'S how you put over a monster heel, Vince.
Guest deadbeater Posted July 19, 2002 Report Posted July 19, 2002 Vader/Steamboat in a main event on NWA TV show (I forgot). I have never seen Ricky get squashed before nor get squashed after. He obviously wasn't prepared for Vader's shoot style.
Guest Ravenbomb Posted July 19, 2002 Report Posted July 19, 2002 when Saturn messed up that Jobber Not really an ass-kicking, but when 911 chokeslammed the hell outa Alphonso Rock/Mankind from Royal Rumble '99 was pretty painful to watch...
Guest Human Fly Posted July 19, 2002 Report Posted July 19, 2002 - When Nailz debuted and laid a beating on the Bossman for like 5 minutes - Chris Benoit beating Billy Gunn for the IC title - Jerry Lawler/Sabu/ Rob Van Dam/ Jim Cornette/ Bill Alfonso (moral support) beating down most of the ECW roster.

Probably one of the best segments on Raw, EVER.
Guest Kid Kablam Posted July 19, 2002 Report Posted July 19, 2002 Austin destroying Bert Hart in a wheelchair on RAW in '97 Speaking of wheel chairs, there was when Benoit and Malenko and Public Enemy had a pre match brawl and Benoit sent Rocko (I think it was Rocko), who was in a wheel chair, into the railing. It busted Rocko open on the side, and blood was seeping through his shirt. I cringe everytime I see that spot, but Benoit and Malenko showed how even methodic technical wrestlers can administer a beatdown. Okay that was a markish moment there wasn't it.
Guest Lord of The Curry Posted July 19, 2002 Report Posted July 19, 2002 Rocco Rock did get the shit beat out of him by Benoit and Malenko but if you consider "busted open" to be fake blood poured on the side of his shirt, then brother did he get busted open. Honestly, take a look again. That "blood" looks like tomato sauce. Methinks Rocco spilt a meatball sub on his shirt before they came back out.
Guest dreamer420 Posted July 19, 2002 Report Posted July 19, 2002 how about the public enemy's last run in the wwf?

Honestly, take a look again. That "blood" looks like tomato sauce. Methinks Rocco spilt a meatball sub on his shirt before they came back out. You know, I thought it was fake blood too, but then I read somewhere that it wasn't. I dunno. Usually, I don't trust these things, and the fact that Rocco came back out kinda makes it look fake, but I seem to remember reading that it was real blood.
Guest Ravenbomb Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 Terry Funk and Sandman beating the fuck out of Cactus Jack to the point of him yelling for help was pretty cool
Guest thefrenchargel Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 Vader's systematic thrashing of Flair from GAB 92 and his sound beating of Inoki come to mind, (even though he lost both matches) Dos Caras fucking killed Great Sasuke in a match that involved Sasuke getting powerbombed from the ring apron to the unprotected hardwood floor (which I heard cracked his skull for the 2nd time in his career) Angle beat the piss out of Shane in the KOTR streetfight as well.
Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 I don't remember the scenario leading into it, but Raven was trying to goad Terry Funk into a fight. They were in the locker room and Funk was sitting on the ground. I don't remember what was said, but I remember Raven kicking Funk in the head and Funk's head hitting the locker room. Funk looked at Raven with the look of an old man that had just gotten kicked in the head and said, "You wnat a peice of the Funkster?! You got it!" The look on his facewas classic. That was some of my first exposure to ECW.
Guest The Metal Maniac Posted July 22, 2002 Report Posted July 22, 2002 I nominate... The original Hell in the Cell. 'Taker KILLS HBK DED. D-E-D. He was so dead, there was no time for the "a". I mean, he beat the guy so bad, HBK had to hit a cameraman, then run out the door, climb up the cell, try to climb back down the cell, and 'Taker literally chased him the entire way. HBK falling off the cell barely slowed 'Taker down. And then, we have the ultimate beat-down match, in Good Friends, Better Enemies. Diesel pounds the SHIT out of HBK, including a powerbomb through the announce table, back when that was something new. In fact, Diesel had such a beating to dish out, he didn't stop at HBK. He even went so far as to beat up the ref, choking the guy out with his wrist tape, simply so he could steal his belt and whip HBK with it. He also knocked down a timekeeper, and beat up Mad Dog Vachon, who was there as a fan. He STOLE THE GUY'S FAKE LEG SO HE COULD HIT HBK WITH IT. THAT'S a heel, ladies and gents.
Guest Redhawk Posted July 22, 2002 Report Posted July 22, 2002 Funk looked at Raven with the look of an old man that had just gotten kicked in the head and said, "You wnat a peice of the Funkster?!
