How far would Vince McMahon go?

Recommended Posts

Guest Redhawk

Ever since he started acknowledging that he was the WWF owner on-air, Vince McMahon has become increasingly worse in regards to putting himself on TV and putting himself over.

So far we've gone from the Montreal incident to Vince showing his un-tanned ass on TV for weeks at a time, Vince either being "in the corner" of or feuding with almost every main eventer: Triple H, Steve Austin, The Rock, Undertaker, Rob Van Dam, Chris Jericho, Kurt Angle, etc. It seems as if Vince believes in order to get over as a heel or face, you need to have Vince in the mix. We've seen Vince get involved in main event matches for no other reason than to get on TV -- including the 2000 and 2001 Wrestlemania main events. And when he's not getting involved in a main event match from the outside, it's because he's wrestling in said match. He has every single WWE Diva fawning over him in the storylines.

So as Vince gets older, how far do you think he'll take it? Will Vince's eventual death be turned into an angle? Will he have a phony "Last Will and Testament" prepared that bashes wrestlers and fans, in a postumous effort to get over as a heel again? Or one that gets him over as a face? Will Vince put his grandchildren in the ring before the hit their teens? Will Vince actually pull out his penis on RAW and jack off in the ring? Will he make some WWE Diva give him a real blowjob at a PPV?

How far do you see him going?

This appointing of Bischoff and uh...(no spoiler) the Smackdown GM seems to indicate he wants to actually cut his time in the limelight.

At least I would hope. Three WWE managers running around would get tiresome really fast.

It looks like he is planning to take himself off tv by naming the two general managers of the shows. It probably won't last longer than 2-3 months though.

Ah, he's wanted to "shy away from the limelight" about 15 times by now. We all know the drill...he fades into the background, and three months later he makes his triumphant return, pulling up to the arena in a limo, and then appearing on every show eighteen times again.

His fading of course leads to Shane coming in, which leads to an appearance by Linda, which leads to the reappearance of Vince.

As far as how far he'll go, I wouldn't put it past him to put a move on little Stephy.

Maybe if he steps back out of the spotlight and looks in, he can finally see how shitty the product has gotten in the last year.

That's true. It's one of the constants in wrestling. It's like Hogan retiring. Talked about a lot, sometimes declared, but it has never happened.

Both of them will retire when they're dead. In the case of Vince, I could see a clause in his will about his freeze dried corpse appearing once in every episode from its shrine at WWE New York.
