Guest Steve J. Rogers Posted July 18, 2002 Report Posted July 18, 2002 Basically I mean deaths of characters in horror/sci-fi/fantasy/action/ect genre who are known for their roles in movies where they are the ones dishing out the punishment as opposed to an action star playing in a drama weeper where he/she dies of cancer or something Sarah Michele Gellar in I Know What You Did Last Summer AND Scream 2 for one is an obvious one with her Buffy role John Wayne, I forget the WWII film but he was in the trenches, lighting up a cigarette saying he felt fine, just before getting blown away Ahhnorld in T2, I think thats the ONLY time he EVER dies on film (well as a good guy anyway) I'll probably come up with more later Steve
Guest areacode212 Posted July 19, 2002 Report Posted July 19, 2002 Doesn't Steven Seagal get killed early on in some action movie (that obviously doesn't star him)?
Guest Prototype450 Posted July 19, 2002 Report Posted July 19, 2002 Arnold has died in both Terminators and End of Days. Steven Segal dies at the beginnig of Executive Decision.
Guest Vyce Posted July 19, 2002 Report Posted July 19, 2002 I think the WW2 Wayne film you were talking about was "Sands of Iwo Jima", but I'm not sure.
Guest dreamer420 Posted July 19, 2002 Report Posted July 19, 2002 fenster in the usual suspects. i would have loved for del toro to have gotten more screen time with that guy.
Guest Jerome Drake Posted July 19, 2002 Report Posted July 19, 2002 I guess DeNiro in 15 Minutes. I know! Hey litteraly died in 15 minutes!
Guest y2jailbait Posted July 20, 2002 Report Posted July 20, 2002 Arnold has died in both Terminators and End of Days. Steven Segal dies at the beginnig of Executive Decision. Segal "died" in Hard To Kill, but then all of sudden raised from the dead. I mean he can shoot a guy in the kneecaps and there done, but he gets it in the chest like 17 times and he's back on his feet in no time. A bit off topic, who has been in the most movies and never ever had a death sequence. I personally think its your favorite kickboxer and mine, Jean Claude Van Damme!

Guest Prototype450 Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 U gotting be shittin me! Van Damme died in a movie?!

Guest Black Lushus Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 my post on the "9/11" thread just brought a guy to mind...does anyone ever recall Ben Affleck dying on film? I can't think of one movie where he croaks. he's starred in a few films now that he could have concievably died in, most notably Armaggedon and Pearl Harbor but instead it's always the guy you don't want dying, i.e. Bruce Willis and Josh Harnett...how the hell does this guy rate...
Guest J*ingus Posted July 22, 2002 Report Posted July 22, 2002 Affleck dies in Dogma. Other than that, he's always either playing the hero of an action movie (they never die) or the leading man in a comedy (ditto) so his chances for mortality are fairly slim.
Guest C.H.U.D. Posted July 23, 2002 Report Posted July 23, 2002 no no no , that was "Black Eagle" bro, but still, you've seen one Van Damme flick you've seen em all... Whoops! *bangs head on desk*
