Guest mach7 Report post Posted July 18, 2002 I don't know if anyone remembers, but in last weeks Ross Report, JR calls Booker T the "video game champion of WWE" or something to that effect. Then, in this little pep talk to the RAW brand, Triple H is talking about guys who sit in the back and sleep or play video games instead of watching matches. I don't know if anyone else has noticed or mentioned/posted about it, but do you think HHH was directing comments towards the Book? Just a thought.
Guest converge241 Report post Posted July 18, 2002 i just think HHH took token examples.. they could be playing cards, on the net, playing video games, shooting the shit, looking for ring rats, probably a number of things
Guest TheBlurricane Report post Posted July 18, 2002 Possibly, but Booker would have to be playing against someone, which means there are others. HHH gets on to them for resting after their match and not watching other matches...you know they can watch the tape later. Rest is more important on such a hectic schedule and it's good that they are hanging out together. Maybe if HHH did more of that he'd not be so grumpy all the time. Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Report post Posted July 18, 2002 Fuck Jim Ross! That fat fucking pig is always trying to make people look bad on his reports, but he also kisses asses. Jim Ross is the "BBQ Champion of the WWE." In hindsight, I'm glad they made the Oklahoma character, because Jim Ross is a peice of shit. I remember back when Bubba Ray stuttered and Good Ole JR was making fun of him. Jerry Lawler won me over momentarily because he said that nobody makes fun of Good Ole JR's speech impediment. While I don't feel like arguing about Jim Ross as a person, I find it completely dispicable that someone would actually support the creation of the Oklahoma character, which may have been the most tasteless wrestling angle I have ever seen come out of WCW, which is certainly saying a lot. Frankly, I don't think it matters what kind of person Jim Ross is; that kind of thing isn't justifiable under any circumstances, and I really do have to question the humanity of one Ed Ferarra for actually going through with that tripe. Repulsive.
Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Report post Posted July 19, 2002 If JR gets a platform to talk shit about people, there needs to be one where people can talk shit about him. That fat bitch airs everyone's dirty laundry every week. What for? Is he too much of a coward to talk to the person instead of make smart ass remarks about them in his weekly commentaries? Way to make the talent look good JR. I thought the Oklahoma character was a bit much at first, but right now I would have to say turn about is fair play. If I work ina company, I wouldn't want someone going on the internet and making smartass comments about how I can't do my job. There's no need for all of the comments made by JR. In my opinion, he's a spineless bastard and he is always given a platform to talk shit about people. He has taken part in the burial of Austin, who is supposed to be his good friend. He'll talk shit about the talent all the time, but won't look at the real problem. If he likes to pick fights that he knows he can't lose, he's a fucking bully. You don't hear him talking shit about Vince McMahon's kids no matter how much it may be deserved. Austin said he left because he didn't like the direction of the company, but JR never addresses those problems. He would rather talk shit about people who he thinks can't get him fired. The guy talks out of both sides of his mouth more than anyone I can think of. He will talk shit about someone, and then totally reverse fields. I can't stand the guy, and I can't really say someone's wrong for making fun of him. Maybe making fun of his Bell's Palsy was a bit much, but I have no problem with the rest of the stuff that was done. The only problem that I have with it is that it was a petproject that was going to be done no matter how little it added to the overall product.

The only problem that I have with it is that it was a petproject that was going to be done no matter how little it added to the overall product. Does JR make fun of Hall's drinking problem? When it came time to mention Regal's nose surgery, did he mention it was a result from years of cockane abuse? Does he make light of Austin's domestic despute charges? Say what you will about JR's overly-subtle critisisms, his ridiculous adherance to the company line, or his often-hypocritical coments, but he definately doesn't chide or out-right mock people the way the Oklahoma character was designed to. That was completely tasteless, to the degree of being despicable. Besides, even if JR had behaved the way you clame he did, the Oklahoma character still would have been tastless and pathetic, so it makes no real difference. Hypothetically speaking, even if JR was the lowest human being on the face of the earth, Fererra would still have to be equally low to make fun of his condition like that. There's no justifying it, either way.
