Has anyone seen this match where Scott Steiner won the TV title from Rick Steamboat, before going to the WWF and vacating the title? Was it televised? How long? Star rating?

I saw that match when it originally aired but to be honest I don't remember much aside from Steiner winning. I was surprised to see Steamboat lose to Steiner since Scott was a tag wrestler at that point.

I think it was a last ditch effort by Bill Watts to keep him from jumping to the WWF.

I don't think it was anything special.

I have an old WCW Magazine where it has an interview with Steamboat talking about the match.

The finish saw Ricky trying to get back into the ring, but Scott quickly got him in an inside cradle and got the 1-2-3.

I belive Alfdogg is correct when he says it was WCW's last effort to keep the Steiners in WCW.

Actually, I think it was on Worldwide (or whatever syndicated show they had). I remember seeing it when I was 9 (b4 I really got into WCW), and the next thing I knew, the Steiners were showing up on WWF TV. I'm not even sure when he lost it (or was he the reason for that big TV Title tourney that I remember when I first started watching WCW in mid 93?)

He never lost it- they had TV title tournament that Paul Orndorff won.

RVD was in it.

Yeah, Scott left with Rick for the WWF. The TV Title was held up in the infamous touranment where they teased Eric Watts winning.

Orndorff beat him in the finals, I belive.

I think RVD (Then know as Robbie V) lost to Vinnie Vegas (Kevin Nash).

Heh, I have a faint memory of RVD as Robbie V. Even then Nash was burying RVD (someone was gonna say it, you know it).
