Guest JAxlMorrison Posted February 19, 2002 Report Posted February 19, 2002 Seriously, this is one I cannot figure out. I mean logic would tell you Rocky will win, as the older Hogan puts over the younger Rock. BUT.........if this NWO angle is to last for awhile and supposedly try to kill the WWF you cannot have it's leader lose in his 1st PPV back with the Fed. So, what do you think is going to happen here?
Guest buffybeast Posted February 19, 2002 Report Posted February 19, 2002 If the Rock doesn't beat that old fossil at WM cleanly, I will stop watching wrestling altogether. Well, let me take that back. There is a good chance that Rock will have to cheat to win. but he better not lose to that old, orange jockstrap Hogan.
Guest Galactic Gigolo Posted February 19, 2002 Report Posted February 19, 2002 Honestly, I couldn't see the WWF giving Hogan a win. With all the shit that the WWF is getting for hiring the "backstage cancers," if they gave Hogan a win over The Rock, it would just make Vince look like he's losing a battle to them month into their run. If Hogan does win, I'll be pleasantly surprised. Hey, I'm the opposite of Keith and Scotsman. I want you to buy stuff FROM me. http://cgi6.ebay.com/aw-cgi....rows=25 Yes, I don't know how to link.
Guest BonerTaco Posted February 19, 2002 Report Posted February 19, 2002 Duh, its pretty obvious Hollywood is gonna win, the Rock just got ran over by a diesel truck! The Rock probably has broken legs and arms, he's gonna be crippled. All Hogan has to do is give him the big boot and the legdrop and its over.
Guest Tony149 Posted February 19, 2002 Report Posted February 19, 2002 I think Hogan's going to win, when the 4th member of the nWo helps out. Yeah, I'm thinking a 4th member will appear at WM.
Guest Some Guy Posted February 20, 2002 Report Posted February 20, 2002 I agree with Tony on this, Hogan wins with interfernce. Then loses clean at Backlash.
Guest Blue Bacchus Posted February 20, 2002 Report Posted February 20, 2002 See that would make sense but the WWF writing team isn't about making sense.
Guest dreamer420 Posted February 20, 2002 Report Posted February 20, 2002 Actually I could see that happening too. Any ideas on the fourth member? X-Pac? Justin Credible? Scott Steiner?
Guest AM The Kid Posted February 20, 2002 Report Posted February 20, 2002 HBK? Anyways...I don't want Hogan to lose
Guest The Vanilla Midget Posted February 20, 2002 Report Posted February 20, 2002 hogan will win, but there will *surely* be interference if he does win. this could be in the form of steiner, or even hbk. that would be a *total* holy shit! moment for most of the fans, as most would still remember hbk in some capacity. that would be absolutely amazing. but steiner would be pretty cool too.
Guest Some Guy Posted February 20, 2002 Report Posted February 20, 2002 HBK or Scott Steiner would be good choices. Both are fresh after being off TV for so long, they both fit in with nWo, and they would be a good surprise. Plus if HBK can wrestle I'll be a happy Some Guy.
Guest Blue Bacchus Posted February 20, 2002 Report Posted February 20, 2002 Well if it's Steiner (Whom I would mark out for) he better bring that Foam...er Lead Pipe to break Rock's ankle much like he broke Sids'.
Guest Tony149 Posted February 20, 2002 Report Posted February 20, 2002 Steiner would be my first choice to be the 4th member of the nWo. X-Pac second, HBK third.
Guest TheMikeSC Posted February 20, 2002 Report Posted February 20, 2002 Who will win between Rock and Hogan? Not the fans, that's for sure. -=Mike
Guest Some Guy Posted February 20, 2002 Report Posted February 20, 2002 X-Pac is probably going to join. But do we really need the DX/nWo X Pac back? I don't think so, he just isn't over and hasn't been for two years. HBK and Steiner are better choices IMO.
Guest goodhelmet Posted February 20, 2002 Report Posted February 20, 2002 "Who will win between Rock and Hogan? Not the fans, that's for sure. -=Mike " LOL If tthey are smart, they let Rock win. Hogan loses and since he's gonna be on our screen, he can use the loss as justification to wreak his sorry,orange-glowing havoc.
Guest Army Eye Posted February 20, 2002 Report Posted February 20, 2002 Well if it's Steiner (Whom I would mark out for) he better bring that Foam...er Lead Pipe to break Rock's ankle much like he broke Sids'. Remember when they had that ref.. or security guy.. I forget, with a prosthetic leg and Steiner smashed it and they freaked out over how his leg was broken.. that was laughably bad
Guest TheNewF'nShow Posted February 20, 2002 Report Posted February 20, 2002 I think it'll be Hogan when (hopefully) Steiner comes back and kicks Rocky's ass.
Guest TheNewF'nShow Posted February 20, 2002 Report Posted February 20, 2002 I think it'll be Hogan when (hopefully) Steiner comes to the WWF and kicks Rocky's ass.
Guest RickyB Posted February 20, 2002 Report Posted February 20, 2002 Hogan Via interfierence at Mania by either Steiner or HBK then Rock wins clean at Backlash
Guest RBKC Posted February 20, 2002 Report Posted February 20, 2002 I think they might play that logic in reverse. Hogan loses at Wrestlemania, then goes over Rock at Backlash with a new nWo member. The reason behind it? Jericho/HHH. Lately, the WWF has been on a streak with the "Heel champion winning Wrestlemania" kick (i.e. 2000 and X-7). So, they will put Rock and Austin over the nWo so that they can put Jericho over in the main event and let the Canadian crowd go home happy. Sounds logical to me. Doing it that way also gives Hogan a chance to build a feud with the Rock instead of having a one-hit, one-time match that will only draw once.
Guest mastermind Posted February 20, 2002 Report Posted February 20, 2002 I also think Hogan would lose at Mania, but then at Backlash get revenge. I really doubt Jericho will be getting a win over Triple H. He still has "stroke". I actually think Austin losing to the NWO would be bigger. Austin hasn't lost at WrestleMania since his match with Bret Hart that turned the business upside down. Austin losing is bigger. Hell, it is also the perfect place for HBK to make his return and cost Austin the match. It has WM continuity. Rock needs to win over Hogan or Hogan's talk of "flavour of the month" for Rock may come true. Hogan getting revenge in the rematch will have less long term effect because it didn't happen at the big show. Something like Rock winning the title at Backlash in 2000. People remember Trips victory at WM much more.
