He moonsaults off the bottom turnbuckle, goes for one off the second turnbuckle but York gets his knees up right into Crazy’s midsection. Crazy is staggering around, sees York up and goes for a clothesline but York ducks and hooks him for a back suplex, lifts him, and then switches and brings him back down face first in a sit-out powerbomb! (8:26-8:35) “Here Comes the Hotstepper” by Ini Kamoze plays and here come Public Enemy. People in the crowd are waving their hands back and forth. P.E. go out and put a Public Enemy shirt on a fan. Then the Blue World Order music plays and out come Stevie Richards and The Blue Meanie (should I call him Meanie or Blue Boy?) with Jasmin St. Claire. Stevie gets on the mic and says this: “Man does it feel good to be back in ECW!” (big cheer) I was getting sick and tired of being some nerd who doesn’t like women? What the hell is that? Steven Richards, pff, Vince can stick Steven Richards up his ass! (huge cheers) I’m the King of Swing baby! Meanie, let’s kick these guys’ asses!” With that Stevie and Meanie attack Rocco Rock and Johnny Grunge. Meanie is punching away at Grunge while Stevie is working over Rocco.

They whip the two members of Public Enemy to the ropes and duck down but Rocco and Grunge put the brakes on and hit a pair of DDT’s on the two bWo members. Rocco brings Stevie to the outside as Meanie and Grunge are still going at it. Grunge whips Meanie to the ropes but Meanie comes back with a swinging neckbreaker. He stomps away on Grunge. He climbs to the middle turnbuckle, waits for Grunge to get up, and then floors him with a flying clothesline. Stevie is back in his corner and gets the tag. Meanie holds him and Stevie punches him in the head. He whips Grunge to the ropes and hits a nice sidewalk slam and gets a 2. Stevie whips Grunge to the corner and comes in for a splash but Grunge moved and Stevie smacked his forehead on the post! Grunge tags in Rocco Rock. Rock slams Stevie down and goes up and hits a moonsault and gets a 2 on Stevie.

He picks Stevie back up and hits a backbreaker but still can’t get more than a 2 count on Stevie. He whips Stevie to the ropes and goes for a clothesline but Stevie ducks, runs off the other ropes and him and Rocco nail each other with a double clothesline! Both of them are down as referee H.C. Loc starts the count. They crawl over and tag in their respective partners. Meanie comes in and clotheslines Grunge down, and another clothesline, he goes and clotheslines down Rocco Rock as well. He goes over and slams Grunge down and goes up for his patented moonsault. He hits it! 1-2-Rocco breaks the count with a boot to Meanie’s head. Stevie and Meanie get up and high five and hug each other. Nova comes into the ring and swings Stevie around and confronts him about using his and Meanie’s double-team finisher. Stevie claims “we’re just having fun!” They make up but here come Rocco and Grunge with frying pans! They nail Meanie, Stevie and then Nova in the head with their frying pans! The bWo roll to the outside to regroup. Meanie and Stevie crawl in, here come P.E., but Meanie and Stevie hit low blows! Meanie and Grunge go outside and brawl as Stevie goes for what looks to be a Russian legsweep or something. In comes Raven with a chair. He goes to hit Rocco but Rocco ducked and the chair hit Stevie! Rocco throws Raven out of the ring and goes up top. He hits the Drive By (somersault splash) and gets the 3 on Stevie! (8:39-8:47) “Kick Out the Jams” by Monster Magnet hits and out comes Axl Rotten with his trusty steel chair. He gets on the mic. “Hey New Jack, no hard feelings huh? We both got the same goal of becoming TV champ and we’re not letting friendship stand in the way. But I’ve got an idea that I think you’ll like. Let’s make this a weapons match, whaddya say?” (big pop from crowd) Axl and referee Mike Keaner confer and Keaner nods to the ring announcer to announce that this will indeed be a weapons match!! Axl gets his answer when he hears the gunshot and the scream as “Natural Born Killaz” by Ice Cube cues and out comes New Jack with his garbage can full of weapons. He runs down, throws the can of weapons in the ring and follows suit. He slides in and Axl nails him in the back with his chair. Axl goes for another chairshot but New Jack grabs a crutch from the pile of weapons and jabs Axl in the stomach with it, and then breaks it over his back! He then proceeds to batter Axl with a cookie sheet, a mailbox and a road sign! He has Axl down and puts a Playstation over Axl’s crotch and takes a broomstick and smashes the Playstation (and probably something else) to pieces!

New Jack then grabs the garbage can and nails Axl with it! He then picks up something wrapped in a burlap bag. IT’S A SICKLE!! OH MY GOD!! He rakes it over the forehead of Axl! Axl’s a bloody mess! Axl somehow makes a comeback with a DDT. He then hits a nice neckbreaker and gets a 2. He grabs a guitar from the pile of weapons but New Jack jabs him in the stomach and clotheslines him down. He picks up Axl and tosses him outside and over the guardrail. They brawl towards the balconies! You know what this means! Jack gets Axl strapped to a table with duct tape and goes up the stairs to the balcony of the Hammerstein Ballroom as the fans chant New Jack! New Jack! New Jack! He looks down and then leaps down the 20 feet and splashes Axl through the table! (ECW! ECW! ECW!) The ref and security has to help them both back to the ring. They get in and both start getting to their feet. New Jack grabs the guitar and pastes Axl over the head with it! He falls on Axl and the ref counts the three! WINNER-----New Jack in 7:01. New Jack will now face CW Anderson in the second round of the ECW TV title tournament.

(8:51-9:04) “Electric Head Part 2” by White Zombie plays and out comes “Lionheart” Chris Jericho. He has a mic. “Welcome to ECW Jericho TV! (cheers) It’s Jericho TV because I am the greatest ECW TV champion of all-time and pretty soon, after I beat Scott Corino, and all those other ass-clowns in the back, I will also be the greatest ECW World champion of all-time. And once that happens, ECW will never, e-e-e-e-ever, be the same, again. “Come With Me” by Puff Daddy hits and out comes “The King of Old School” Steve Corino along with Jack Victory. He gets up on the apron and raises his hands with his fingers in the “V” sign for “Victory.” Jericho comes and springboard dropkicks Corino off the apron. He springboards off the middle rope and crashes onto Corino with a crossbody! By the way, the referee is John “Pee Wee” Moore. Jericho throws Corino back in the ring and goes to work on Corino in the corner with a bunch of knife-edge chops. He whips Corino across the ring to the other corner and charges in but Corino catches him in the face with a back elbow and then a leaping one-legged lariat. He picks Jericho up and hits a Fisherman suplex and gets a 2.

He whips Jericho to the ropes but Jericho comes back with a diving forearm. He runs off the ropes and shoulderblocks Corino, then goes off the ropes again and hits a clothesline. He hooks Corino in a double underhook and then lifts him over into a backbreaker. He gets a 2. He suplexes Corino and then goes for the Lionsault but Corino moves. Jericho sees this and lands on his feet and takes Corino down with a roundhouse enziguri-style kick to the back of Corino’s head! He goes up top but Corino crotches him! Corino goes up and superplexes Jericho from the top rope! Both men are down and tired. They get up slowly and start trading chops back and forth. Corino gets the upper hand and whips Jericho, Jericho reverses and misses a spinning heel kick. He runs at Corino but Corino powerslams him! 1-2-kickout by Jericho. Jericho’s reeling! Corino hits a sit-out powerbomb and Jericho JUST kicks out before 3.

Corino is getting somewhat frustrated now. He forsakes his “Old School” heritage and tells Victory to slide in a table. Corino sets it up on one leg. Jericho is still down and Corino decides, uncharacteristically, to go up top. He reaches the top but Jericho was playing possum! He racks Corino up and goes up with him. He hits a nice Frankensteiner off the top on Corino and both men are flat out exhausted. They both get up and Jericho swings at Corino but Corino ducks behind him, Jericho turns around and Corino hits a release Northern Lights suplex right through the table! He covers Jericho. 1-2-thr..NO! Jericho’s foot is on the ropes! Corino can’t believe it! Corino waits for Jericho to get up and goes for a superkick but Jericho ducks and does a double leg takedown and slaps on the Walls of Jericho! Corino tries to make it to the ropes, he’s almost there, and Jack Victory grabs his hand and helps him to the ropes!

Jericho is now yelling at Victory. Mike Awesome suddenly comes out and nails Victory in the back with a chair! Why the hell is Awesome helping Jericho? Meanwhile Corino gets Jericho in a sleeper but Jericho back kicks Corino downstairs! Awesome goes up top and comes off for a flying clothesline, but he misses Corino and hits Jericho! Corino superkicks Awesome out of the ring and then hits the Old School Expulsion (like a Twist of Fate but backwards) on Jericho and gets the 3! WINNER-----Steve Corino in 12:15. Corino will face the man he used to manage, Rhino in the second round of the ECW World title tournament.

Awesome helps Jericho to the back.

(9:08-9:18) “Simon Says” plays and out come Simon Diamond and Swinger, along with Simon’s beautiful fiancee Dawn Marie. Then “Enter Sandman” by Metallica (hell yeah!) plays and the “Hardcore Icon” the Sandman and “The Innovator of Violence” Tommy Dreamer come through the crowd. They climb over the guardrail at ringside and each pull out a beer. They chug the beers down, and then smash the beer cans over their foreheads, busting themselves open in the process. They give referee Jim Molineaux a beer and he chugs it! We have a drunk referee! Whoo hoo! Sandman & Dreamer get in and go right to work on Simon & Swinger, respectively. Sandman with some open hand chops on Simon in one corner as Dreamer punches away at Swinger in another corner. Sandman perches Simon up on the top turnbuckle as Dreamer does the same to Swinger. Sandman with a Heinekenrana and Dreamer with a superplex!

They switch guys so now Dreamer has Simon and Sandman has Swinger. They whip both guys to the ropes and duck down but Simon comes back and DDT’s Dreamer as Swinger hits the Swing Thing (cobra clutch/Russian Legsweep) on Sandman. Swinger tosses Sandman out of the ring as Simon suplexes Dreamer, holds on and suplexes him again, still holds on and goes for a suplex but switches into an X Factor. Those three suplex moves are known as the Simon Series. He gets a 2 on Dreamer. He goes over and tags in Swinger. Swinger stomps Dreamer a couple of times and stands him up. He scoops him up for a slam but Dreamer floats over and hits a neckbreaker! But he’s too tired to make the pin! Both Dreamer and Swinger crawl over and tag their partners. Simon charges at the Sandman but Sandman ducks, boots him and nails a DDT. Sandman then goes over and piledrives Swinger.

Sandman then hangs Swinger in the Tree of Woe as Dreamer does the same to Simon. They step on the groins of Simon and Swinger! They go and grab a pair of chairs and put them over Simon and Swinger’s faces. They then huddle, look up and yell “ECW!” and dropkick the chairs into their opponents’ faces! (ECW! ECW! ECW!) Simon & Swinger slump to the ground. Tommy and Sandman go for the double pin but Dawn Marie hits Molineaux as he was coming down for three. Sandman and Dreamer start heading towards Dawn but she leaves the ring and starts yapping while walking backwards down the aisle. Lori Fullington comes out with the Sandman’s Singapore cane and canes Dawn right in the back of the head! (the fans chant Lori! Lori! Lori!) However, Simon & Swinger are up and they go for the Problem Solver on Dreamer but Dreamer DDT’s Simon and Sandman clotheslines Swinger! Sandman then picks up Swinger and flapjacks him as Dreamer DDT’s him! Problem Solver on Swinger! Sandman covers and gets the win! WINNERS-----Tommy Dreamer and The Sandman in 9:56. Dreamer and Sandman now face Public Enemy in the second round of the tag title tourney.

(9:22-9:36) Sabu and Bill Alfonso are shown backstage. Fonzie says that Sabu never got revenge for Benoit breaking his neck all those years ago. He says Benoit was scared that Sabu would kill him and he fled to WCW. Well now, there’s nowhere to run and nowhere to hide. Sabu points to the sky to end the promo.

Sal E. Graziano leads Guido Maritato to the ring as “Stayin’ Alive” by NTrance blares over the speakers. Then “Whatta Man” by Salt ‘n Pepa plays and “The Shooter” Dean Malenko comes out for this match to see who has the worst entrance music. Actually it’s a first round cruiserweight title tournament match-up but ya. Guido however, has a mic? “Hey Malenko, I would respect ya for training my boy Tony but uh.. you ain’t Paisan. So here’s the deal. We’ll make this a submission match, how’s about it?” He hands Malenko the mic. “I guess I’ll be responsible for the FBI’s success, cuz I’m gonna train you too!” He clotheslines Guido down and starts stomping him in the back and legs, most likely softening him up for his Texas Cloverleaf. Sal E. gets out of the ring. Your ref is John Finnegan. Guido rolls out of the ring to get away from Malenko’s stomps. Malenko follows him out but Guido rolls in just as Dean gets out. Dean then gets back in and charges but Guido catches him in a Fuijiwara armbar. Guido’s really wrenching on it as Malenko hooks his feet on the bottom rope and Guido has to break the hold.

Guido releases and pulls Malenko back into the middle of the ring and locks in a juji-gatame (cross armbreaker) Malenko gets his feet on the ropes again. Guido stomps Malenko a few times. He whips Malenko but Malenko stops and hits a back suplex on Guido. He locks in a figure four leglock! Guido turns it over but Malenko turns it over again! Guido gets to the ropes. Guido charges Malenko but Dean drops him with a drop toehold and locks on an STF. Malenko keeps the hold on for about 10 seconds and then lets go. He picks up Guido and executes a nice stalled vertical suplex. He goes for the pin but forgets this is a submission match. He whips Guido to the ropes and hits him with a one-legged lariat. He then whips Guido again but Guido reverses and hiptosses Malenko. He goes up top and hits the Sicilian Slice. (top rope Fameasser) He locks in the Sicilian (Boston) Crab on Malenko! Malenko slowly crawls to the ropes and grabs the bottom one but the damage has been done.

Guido goes to whip Malenko but Malenko holds on and whips Guido the other way right into referee John Finnegan! He boots Guido and hooks his arms in a double underhook. He lifts him over into his Tigerbomb! He locks in the Texas Cloverleaf and Guido taps but Finnegan is still out! Here comes Chris Candido, looking for revenge for Malenko putting him in the Texas Cloverleaf last week on Barely Legal! He smashes Malenko in the back with a chair and quickly leaves! Guido slowly gets up and hits the Kiss of Death (Tomikaze, Unprettier, whatever) on Malenko. He puts an unconscious Malenko in a camel clutch and makes Malenko’s hand go up and down. A groggy Finnegan sees what he thinks is Malenko tapping and call for the bell! WINNER-----Guido Maritato in 12:45. So now, in the second round of the ECW cruiserweight title tournament, Guido will face either EZ Money or, ironically, the man who helped him here tonight, Chris Candido. That match takes place Wednesday on Barely Legal.

(9:40-10:00) “Huka Blues” by Harry Slash and the Slashtones hits and here comes Sabu with the “Manager of Champions” Bill Alfonso. Then “Wolverine” by Bounder hits and out comes the “Crippler” Chris Benoit. He obtained that nickname by breaking Sabu’s neck in 1995. As the ring announcer was doing his job, Sabu kept pacing around the ring, anxiously waiting for the bell to the ring. The referee is H.C. Loc. Ding, ding. As soon as the bell rings Sabu goes and dropkicks the knee of Benoit. He rains down on Benoit’s head with punches. He throws Benoit outside and follows him out and then throws him into the crowd. He goes back into the ring and sets up a chair. He runs off the ropes, hops onto the chair and onto the top rope and then flies out onto Benoit in the crowd! (ECW! ECW! ECW!) He throws Benoit back over the guardrail and into the ring. He comes in and is met with a blistering Benoit knife-edge chop, followed by several more. Benoit whips Sabu to the ropes and almost takes his head off with a hooking clothesline. He picks Sabu up and hits a back suplex, dangerously close to dropping Sabu right on his head again. He picks Sabu back up and executes a snap suplex and gets a 2 count.

The winner of this match will face Rob Van Dam in the second round of the ECW World title tournament. This will be interesting if Sabu wins, because he will be facing his tag team partner. Benoit goes for a German suplex but Sabu elbows his way out. He runs to the ropes and ducks a Benoit chop, picks up a chair and throws it at Benoit, nailing him right between the eyes! He does an Arabian facebuster (legdrop with a chair) on Benoit and gets a 2. He props Benoit on the top turnbuckle and hits a top rope Frankensteiner. He then hits an Arabian press (slingshot moonsault) and gets another 2. He sets the chair up and tries for the triple jump moonsault but Benoit trips him and Sabu goes face first into the set up chair. Benoit then hits three German suplexes in a row, holding the last one for a pin but only got a 2 count. He props Sabu up top now, and hits a superplex! Both men are out!

The crowd starts cheering and clapping, trying to get the wrestlers up. Referee Loc gets to 7 and the men start to stir. They get up and trade a few punches back and forth. Benoit gets the upper hand and chops him back into the corner. He lifts Sabu up for another superplex but Sabu kicks him in the face and nails a tornado DDT! He sets up the chair and hits the triple jump moonsault! 1-2-NO! Benoit gets the shoulder up! Sabu gets mad and goes outside to get a table. He shoves it in the ring and gets in himself. He tries a haymaker on Benoit but Benoit takes him down in the Crippler Crossface! He’s wrenching back really hard! Alfonso throws in the towel but Sabu throws it right back at him! Sabu is on the verge of passing out and Benoit lets go.

He picks up Sabu and slams him back down. He goes up and hits the diving headbutt! It’s over! 1-2-no! Shane Douglas pulls referee Loc out and punches him out with a chain wrapped around his fist! He goes in and pastes Benoit with the chain around his fist! Sabu dropkicks Douglas’ knee and throws a chair at his head! He sets up the table and puts Benoit on one side and Douglas on the other side. What the hell is this madman doing? He goes up to the top rope and comes with a double legdrop, putting both Douglas and Benoit through the table!! (ECW! ECW! ECW!) He crawls over and lays an arm over Benoit as a second referee, Mike Keaner, runs into the ring and counts. 1-2-3! Sabu wins! WINNER-----Sabu in 17:13. Sabu faces RVD in the second round of the World title tournament!

Candido and Bigelow come in and help Douglas up. They go and start beating up Sabu and Benoit. Bigelow with Greetings from Asbury Park on Sabu. Candido with a piledriver on Benoit. RVD comes in, trying to help out Sabu, but Bigelow takes him out with a Samoan drop. He picks up RVD and tosses him into the crowd! (ECW! ECW! ECW!) “War Machine” by Kiss starts and here comes Taz! He gets in and T-Bones Candido, clotheslines Bigelow, but Douglas recovers and takes him out with the chain! The Triple Threat stands victorious as we go off the air.
