Guest 4Life Report post Posted July 20, 2002 The final ratings are in, and Smackdown for 7/18 scored a 3.4 broadcast rating with a 6 share. Last week, they scored a 3.3 with a 6 share, so that is a slight improvement. It's not much but Raw and Smackdown improved this week. I take this as a good sign for things to come. The problem I have with Smackdown's rating increasing this week is that even though I read that the show had some good wrestling on it, don't forget that Stephanie McMahon was revealed as Smackdown's GM, and unfortunately, knowing Vince, he'll think SHE'S the reason it increased instead of the good wrestling and start letting her get even more airtime and mictime on Smackdown while the deserving wrestlers have their airtime stolen away by her again. Guest RickyChosyu Report post Posted July 20, 2002 While I guess you could spin this as an improvement if you really tried, it pretty much says that ratings were unaffected, because a change that small is completely insignificant. Still, I'm sure that won't stop Steph from developing more of an ego over "outdrawing" the Rock's return with her own.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted July 20, 2002 The ratings usually go up after a ppv too. So they may show a two week improvement before they slide back.
