Is anyone here into Starblazers and if so, don't you think it would make a kick ass live action movie?

Question? is the Star Blazers have anything to do that space pirate captain and woman pirate captian that were in the Galaxy Express 999 movies?

 

I have heard good things about the Star Blazers but never felt a need to rent the series.

My thoughts (I went on resemblance):

Nova - Jennifer Aniston

Mark Venture - either Toby McGuire or Joshua Jackson

Capt. Avatar - James Coburn

Derek Wildstar - ?

Desslok - ?

 

Maybe Brad Pitt for either Derek or Desslok?

I'd probrably be inclined to go with a young cast, except for Captain Avatar.

 

Captain Avatar- Wilford Brimley

Wildstar- I would go with Tom Cruise, but he might be a bit pricey. I'll go with Peter Facinelli.

Venture- Paul Walker

Nova- Katie Holmes

Desslok- James Marsters

General Lysis- This is where I would put Josh Jackson. I can totally see him with blue paint on, getting pissed at the starforce.

Marsters I can see as Desslok. The rest, I'm not feeling, esp. Holmes as Nova. Maybe Walker as Wildstar, not Venture

 

Jackson as Lysis - I forget what Lysis looks like.

I'm looking to score Quest for Iscandar and Comet Empire dvd boxsets when I can work some overtime and get the cash. If you check ebay, they have some deals.

 

Is $99.00 too much for the boxset for Quest for Iscandar? It's on ebay right now. I was wondering if I would be getting jipped?

I am not sure about Comet Empire. I went to my local suncoast and they had it in individual DVD form just like Quest for Iscandar.

 

 

Tell me Spaceman, have you seen the Bolar Wars yet. I vaguely remember seeing some when I was a kid, but only got to see maybe 3 or 4 episodes and I don't remember any storylines to it.

BTW, Lysis is at the end credits to all the episodes. He is the Gamilon who is clenching fists and yelling at the point of the end theme song that goes "Evil men with evil schemes, they can't destory all our dreams"

Comet Empire is out in individual DVD's, but only up to around part 4 (not sure what ep. numbers). I'll get the box set when it comes out.
