Guest C.H.U.D. Report post Posted July 20, 2002 After searching for an authentic DVD of Battle Royale (eBay is flooded with bootlegs) I finally found a R0 special edition from the UK. Man, it was worth it. I heard so many good things about the film, so my expectations were pretty high, and I wasn't disappointed. The movie was very well directed, and the story was very cool. All the actors did a great job, and it was violent without being exploitive. There were quite a few onscreen deaths (at least 27), and the key characters were all good. I doubt a movie like this would ever get made in the U.S. The music is also very good. If you don't know what Battle Royale is, check out the IMDB page here. Has anyone else seen this flick?
