Muto Wins Three Times!

Recommended Posts

Guest BionicRedneck

At the Nippon Budokan Muto wrestled (and won) as his three different personas (himself, Great Muta and Kokushi). As Muta he defeated Satoshi Kojima, even though he had already wrestled twice.

In the main event Taiyo Kea pinned Genichiro Tenryu (Non-Title match) in 15:15 with the H50. IMO, this is can only mean good things for Kea and All Japan.

On the NJPW show Yuji Nagatabeat Bas Rutten in 8:10 with the Nagata Lock II. In the G1 Climax Special Tag Masahiro Chono & Osamu Nishimura beat Hiroyoshi Tenzan & Yoshihiro Takayama in 28:40 when Nishimura used a ground Cobra Twist on Tenzan.

And the Steiners have joined Team2000.

Nagata's win sets him up for Fujita next month. Nagata winning that match should repair almost all of the damage done by the 12/31/01, the only other thing he can do after that point is kick the living fuck out of Mirko Co Crop and that isn't too likely.

Don't get too excited about Kea, this gives Tenryu an excuse to squash him in a title match somwhere down the line.

Nothing says Puroresu Love like putting yourself over three times and killing your top prospect.

Tenzan jobbing to Nishimura is a little suprising. I guess this sets him up to get his win back and hopefully win the tourniment. Nagata going over Rutten is good news, but I'm not sure why the Steiners' are in Team 2000. Whatever.

Thanks. I've always been a huge mark for him, and his promo style, especially.
