Guest EQ Report post Posted July 20, 2002 Have you read anything about this game? It's being compared to GTA3, but also being called more realistic. The game takes place in London, and is supposed to contain the most realistic representation of a real-life city ever in a video game. Apparently, the team went all out on the voice acting, and hired really awesome talent. The dialogue is also supposed to be very vulgar and unedited. It seems like a cool concept. Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted July 20, 2002 From what I've read...the game has been in development since before Driver came out for the PS1. It was supposed to be a Driving game...but it was going to be too similar to Driver so they decided to give it an overhaul for the new PS2 that was coming out. They decided to make it what it is presently...then GTA3 came out and looked pretty similar. But the Getaway features better graphics, real cars and car physics...actually from what I read it's better in every way. I personally can't wait for it...as I love GTA3. Guest jimmy no nose Report post Posted July 20, 2002 I've been following this game forever, since it was first shown a few years back. I was expecting a whole lot from it, then got Driver and was hoping it would be better, then all coverage of the game was dropped so I was kind of mad as I was looking forward to it. Then the news came back that it was going a different direction, then I played GTA3 and am hoping it will be better than that.
