The Monkey Island series

Recommended Posts

I bought Escape From Monkey Island for PS2 yesterday and I've been playing the shit out of it. This got me to thinking about all the PC versions. Does anyone else agree that these are some of the funniest games of all time?

Damn straight, I love the Monkey Island series. Day of the Tentacle and Sam & Max are hilarious as well, and I play them now and again. Personally, I think Monkey Island 2 is the best of the series, because it's more engrossing and it seems a huge game. I'm not that fond of the games going 3D though... :(

The Monkey Island games OWN THE WORLD.

Monkey Island 2 is my favourite, but they all rule.

I wish I was Guybrush Threepwood...

I used to love the Space Quest/Kings Quest games back in the day. Sam and Max is an awesome game.

My Favorite Money Island game was the one where you have to do all the sword fights to learn new insults to fight with.

Has anyone played Loom? That game was really sweet, but not very challenging.

Does anyone know where I can find the original 2 games? I had them on my old computer but I forgot the site where I got them from.

EDIT: I found an old PC Gamer CD from July 1997 that has the games encrypted on it, but it's $20 to unlock. I don't suppose anyone can, ahem, assist me in unlocking them. Otherwise, I'll just pay, if they still offer it.
