Guest C.H.U.D. Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 I saw Eight Legged Freaks tonight and I freakin' loved it! This was a CLASSIC b-movie made in modern times. Likeable characters, different kinds of spiders that got a lot of screen time, a lot of deaths and some good action sequences. It was pretty funny too, I liked how they threw in little jokes that you would miss if you didn't pay attention. For a low budget movie, the CGI was good, especially considering there are scenes with at least 30 spiders on screen at the same time. I seriously haven't had this much fun in a theatre in ages. If you like simple, fun, popcorn b-movies (the kind from the 70's and 80's that don't get made any more) I strongly suggest you check out Eight Legged Freaks.
Guest J*ingus Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 I would... if I didn't have a pretty solid case of arachnaphobia. I think I'll check out Reign Of Fire instead.
Guest Shaved Bear Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 "its the best movie involving David Arquette and giant spiders" -Capt. Hank Murphy
Guest HBK16 Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 The mall where they filmed part sof the moives was about 5 min drive from where I live. It was closed a few years ago. My friend even broke into the mall and stole a few plans for the movie last year. We didn't know what movie it was for until we saw the movie.
Guest y2jailbait Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 I REALLY REALLY wanted to hate this movie, but i couldnt believe i found myself enjoying the movie. David Arquette wasnt bad, then again he wasnt great. Doug E Doug, well he's god so whats the use of even commenting on what he did well.
Guest AlwaysPissedOff Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 The ONLY way I'll ever go see this is if Arquette dies. Yes, I hate him that much.
Guest evenflowDDT Posted July 22, 2002 Report Posted July 22, 2002 That's great to hear, as this was seriously one of the only movies this summer I was looking forward to (the other being Crocodile Hunter: Collision Course). The best part though, is that if I don't get any money in time to see it in theatres, in three months I can see it on U.S.A. opposite Tremors and Species
