XPW TO RUN IN VIKING HALL

Recommended Posts

Guest gangsteruwa

Last night XPW announced that they would run a show in Viking Hall (ECW Arena) August 31st. That is such a bad idea. Horribly bad. The Philly folks are going to start a riot in that place, because we all know Rob Black is going to run his mouth.

even though i like xpw, it is a dumb idea. last nights show was decent though, and rob black better not make an appearance at the viking hall show if he knows whats good for him, and he better hype the shit out of the show, and deliver big, just like he has for the last 2 shows.

All I can say that is something really, really bad is going to happen that night.

Whether it is Black running his mouth, the Philly faithful rioting, or just the show in general, you can't deny that something bad is going to happen.

I've gone on record over at Bolt's WWF board that if XPW were to run a tour on the East Coast, they'd be met with about 200 pissed-off EC-F'N-W fans at each show to boo every spot...and I'd be one of them in Worcester, just to wear my old-school ECW "Join The Revolution" tee, or my torn ECW "Surgeon General's Warning" tee, and chant "E-C-Dub" whenever I could.

Sick Nick Mondo just made some comments about XPW:

"My trip to L.A. was a little more laid back this time, but it was a nice little break. I arrived Saturday night and went to a relaxed party with a bunch of wrestlers. I got to meet a few XPW guys for the first time, including Kaos, "Gay Angel", a guy they call "Smiley", and a few others. They were really friendly and it seemed like they're pretty much all close just like the CZW lockerroom. I also got to watch the XPW TV show, which I hadn't seen before. The first thing I noticed is the production value, which is actually pretty good. The editing was done really well and I found some of the angles and skits pretty funny. There was a little bit too much talking, but the show does have a professional look. Kaos wrestled Chris Hammerick on the show in some bull ring arena, and it was an impressive match. I don't know, I've just heard a lot of people bash XPW, but what I saw looked fine. Oh, and Supreme cut an awesome promo. He's really got his character down and I find it pretty amusing. I guess he wrestles Sandman in the opening round of their kotdm tourney this year...interesting."

I know you like XPW, Emax, and I know that you're fairly rational about it and sometimes must feel like the one sane defender of a poor little picked-on child. But in this instance, I can't imagine what the hell Black & Co. must be thinking. The ECW marks hate XPW with a passion, and will likely show up just to try and ruin the event any way they can.

yeah, true that.

at the xpw show last night the crowd showed no mercy when he came out, just because his stable is face now, doesn't make up for the fact that he screwed the fans time and time again.

he'd better not come out during the show if he knows whats good for him.

i predict that 200 seats at the show will be paid for, the rest will be comped.

I hope that horrible riot starts and the card never takes place. Maybe Tommy Dreamer, Justin Credible, Francine, and Paul E. might want to sit at ringside and see if they can act like stupid fucks during xpw's main event

Knowing Rob Black, he's probably planning on something big happening. What better way to get his name out? Remember, Black is one of those who doesn't believe in such a thing as "bad publicity". He'd love to get his name out there, and if by chance there IS a riot or something newsworthy, you know he'd cream his pants over that...

While I do watch XPW tapes and find some enjoyment in certain elements (luchadores, Kaos, Shane Douglas), I've gotta go with the majority and say that this is a major mistake. Especially with Douglas, whom I love, as their champion, you know that some type of "ECW Sucked" shoot promo is going to come from Black, Douglas, or hell even one of the XPW "homegrown" trying to make a name for themself. Shit will hit the fan.

And, has anyone else noticed that K Krush is in XPW doing a Nation of Domination ripoff angle. Just stick to the NWA, man, you're doing fine there!

ECW fans + Rob Black + XPW wrestling + ECW Arena = CHAOS.....I guess Rob Black doesn't mind that the ECW Arena is gonna be filled up with 2000 angry/pissed of fans, as long as they PAID for their seats......how known is XPW though in the mainstream audience?
