Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 Simple question: have you heard of Tastykakes? Also, post where you are from/living so I can see how far from Philly Tastykakes travel. Tastykakes
Guest redbaron51 Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 i live in Canada...but I have no clue what they are
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 Nobody bakes a cake as tasty as a..tastycake! As for location, Im located in Salisbury MD which is just south of Delaware, so not very far from Philly.
Guest kkktookmybabyaway Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 I know 'em. Don't eat 'em though. Sorry...
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 Oh come on, they are tasty...hence the name!
Guest Incandenza Posted July 22, 2002 Report Posted July 22, 2002 I did not bust my Tastykake cherry until a road trip up north last year, when a friend of mine who goes to school in Rhode Island repeatedly assured me that they were, quote, "da shit." I highly respect this particular friend's opinion, so I tried them. Eh, I prefer Dolly Madison, personally.
Guest dreamer420 Posted July 22, 2002 Report Posted July 22, 2002 I know HBK asked to see Debra's Tastycakes once.
Guest JHawk Posted August 2, 2002 Report Posted August 2, 2002 I've heard of them and live in NE Ohio, but mostly because my mom's from the Philly area originally. Horsham-Hatboro to be precise. Notice how in my Raw recaps a wrestler who rolls to the floor for a breather is taking a Tastykake break?
Guest Incandenza Posted August 2, 2002 Report Posted August 2, 2002 I saw a box of Tastykakes at a grocery store today, so now I know they are available in northeast Florida.

Guest Mattdotcom Posted August 4, 2002 Report Posted August 4, 2002 Tastykakes rule, but they're hard to find unless you live around Philly. Ya see, in 6th grade, we read Manian Magee (that's the one with the running kid, right?), and Tastykake's Butterscotch Krimpettes were a focal point. My teacher ordered a box, and I fell in loooooooove. I can track down a few packs from time to time. Koffee Kake isn't so bad, either.
Guest Vyce Posted August 5, 2002 Report Posted August 5, 2002 Whadda ya mean, hard to find? I live in the D.C. area, and I can walk in most any grocery store here and pick up a box. Yes - the Butterscotch Krimpets ARE the best. I have a box of them in my kitchen cabinet this very minute. The coffee cakes are pretty nice too.
Guest Mattdotcom Posted August 7, 2002 Report Posted August 7, 2002 Lucky bastard. By hard to find I mean, "The only store that occasionally stocks them is thirty minutes away." There was a store that had them a few miles down the highway, but, of course, the owner had pictures praising Osama in the store and they sold drugs out the back. Now, THAT'S hard to find.
