Vince Russo To Write All Future TNA shows

The current plan is to have Vince Russo fully write each NWA:TNA PPV script, with the hopes that he can recapture the magic he had in WWE in the late 90s.

 

Jerry Jarrett will, however, have final say over the scripts, and will make sure there are things that make sense within the NWA:TNA universe. One thing that Jarrett is adamant about is that all backstage skits must have an explanation as to why a camera is there, such as with a Goldy Locks interview.

 

The July 10th edition of NWA:TNA was mostly written by Jarrett, but starting with the July 17th edition, the shows will be scripted by Russo.

why is russo one of the worst writers ever? He is good if he is in a controlled environment like with vince in the wwf. When he makes all the calls he is way over the top and shit gets fucked. All he needs is a leash

I trust Jerry/Russo more than Vince/Steph because they aren't blood. Jerry probably won't be as blind as McMahon if he notices something going too far away from where he wants to be or go.

dude week 5 was just as good. I laughed my ass off during the shamrock interview, and I liked hall attacking jj and kk in the back. Also the matches were good minus the midget and ladder match. I can't complain about nwa, not that I would though. I like to try to stay positive about wrestling in general. If you don't, you get the people on this board who I don't like very much. (You know who)

And he is the best at doing what the promotion need most right now...character development.

Jerry said in some interview that he is involved in some legal problems and that is one of the reasons for Russo getting more duties. It could be worse, at least Bob Ryder isn't writing the show

Y'know, the thing that scares me about masturbating midgets more than anything is that Jarrett actually must have read this in the script and said "Good show, old chap, keep it coming" to Russo. What sort of balls would it take to turn something like that in, anyways? This guy, he was a top writer when the WWF got mega-popular, he's still semi-respected, and masturbating midgets is his big contribution? Why not have someone's little brother write the show instead? Well from that interview bps(who else concerning nwatna) posted it doesn't sound like Jerry Jarret will put up with too much concerning women and sex so that's good. Also in that interview Jerry also said Russo is great because he comes up with alot of ideas and gives options for each one.

 

So it sounds like Jerry will let him do his thing but will also keep him on a short leash. So as long as Jerry doesn't become an absentee owner and keeps a close eye on Russo it will help them more then hurt them.

 

HOWEVER if we start hearing about Russo not having to answer to Jerry then we should be very concerned.

this news actually makes me happy and the reason for that is that vince russo is really behind the x division and wants to see it succeed. the shows will get a lot more sexually charged but if the action in the ring can keep up with the action outside, this could be a good thing.

Not that i have anything against women wrestlers it's just that they don't have any actual women wrestlers in NWA TNA. Well some of them are trained enough to take bumps but not enough to be wrestling matches.
