bad quotes in a movie

This is kind of an offshoot of the memorable bad quotes in the gen. wrestling folder. Anyone got any quotes that were funny as hell or just poorly timed

One would be the one from the end of Speed where Dennis Hopper is blabbering on about being full of ruthless agression and Keanu Reeves spouts something to the effect of ( Semi Serious Surfer Dude Voice)-"Yeah, but I'm taller", and then dennis hopper promptly gets decapitated by a light. What in the blue hell would being taller have had to do with the entire situation. Did Keanu's height advantage allow him to only be hit in the chest with the light while the vertically challenged Dennis Hopper met an untimely demise

Well... this quote is just one that I hate. It kinda makes sense, but it was so badly writen that I spent nearly the rest of the movie laughing at it.... from X-men.

Storm - You know what happens to a toad when it gets struck by lighting *dramatic pause* the same thing that happens to everything else.

Actually, Reeves said "Yeah, but I'm a whole lot taller" AFTER Hopper was decapitated, so it makes sense. It's your typical wise-ass action hero line.

Only line in a movie that really pisses me off is from Ginger Snaps, when in probably one of the most serious moments of the movie (the movie becomes serious completely about 20 minutes in), Ginger says "I know you are, but what am I." It's not so much the line, because it can work given the circumstances, but the delivery that Katherine Isabella did...only bad part in the entire movie, really.

I'm pretty sure he just says "Yeah, but I'm taller.".

Yeah, that line was just so hokey. She was trying to sound threatening, but the line itself was just stupid.

any line from 'showgirls' could go here.

but my personal favorite is when the black guy yells "you fuck 'em without fuckin' 'em! and that shit ain't right!"

or when nomi constantly says "i'm not a whore," even though she acts EXACTLY like a whore throughout the entire movie.

or when nomi says "we'll go get some [fake mexican accent]fajitas[/fake mexican accent]," and her roommate laughs as if that were somehow funny.

or when nomi confesses to having eaten dog food once, or when...

in the matrix one of them says 'Neo that's loco.' which is quite the retarded choice of words. That deep blue sea one is funny too.

"Stealing, Boning, Blowin' Shit up"

It was a good movie but I hated that line.

Speaking of Kevin Smith stuff how about the irritating repeated line in Mallrats about an uncomfortable place: "in the back of a Volkswagen?"

Running jokes are usually hit or miss.

Just get new jack city, and any line that Chris Rock or Judd Nelson said were pathetically bad.

Oh MAN!!!

Hollow Man has this one line that still bugs the fuck out of me til this day. I'm demented, leave me alone.

Josh Brolin: "I can't figure out the B and C of it"

Elisabeth Shue: "The what?"

JB: "The B and C. *paraphrased* My 6th grade teacher told me that a genius can get to point A to point D without going through the B and the C. *leans in* (this is the line that drives me bonkers) But me....*whispers* I gotta have the B and C...

Ugh.

Cabbageboy was pointing out an irritating line I think and was not dissing Smith.

As for me, I like Kevin Smith a lot...to the point where I hafto read all his comic work, buy all his DVDs, put up with Leno for Roadside Attractions, hell I visit Newsaskew.com a lot.

The only slight problem I have was he shouldn't of cast J-Lo for Jersey Girl. That was a horrible decision.

Worst line for me was in Total Recall at the end when Cohagen (Ronny Cox) is talking to Quaid (Schwarzenegger) and Cohagen says...

"In thirty seconds you'll be dead and I'll blow this place up and be home in time for corn flakes."

worst line I can remember was from Timecop... I know, not exactly groundbreaking cinema, but even for that kind of movie, it was corny

Van Damme points his gun at the bad guy: "Freeze!"

bad guy: "Do you have any idea how innapropriate that statement is? Do I look frozen to you?"

i'm sure i've posted in another thread how much it made me want to vomit but the bit in spiderman on he bridge where the guy yells 'ayyy yous mess wit one new yawker you messes with all of us' or something equally full of tacked on money grabbing hollywood SHIT drove me insane. The movie lost almost all credibility there and then for me.

Speaking of Speed I was watching it on AMC the other night. Remember the part where Keanu is running down teh steps to the subway and he sees someone with their back to him. Thinking it is Hopper he says, "Pop quiz motherfucker." AMC edited that to, "Pop quiz...ANIMAL!" I was laughing so fucking hard because it made no sense at all and ruined the whole ending for me. They also clipped the decapitation scene. DAMN THE CENSORS!

I felt the same way when I was (kinda) watching Showgirls on VH1. I mean, the gratuitous nudity was really the only reason to watch the movie, and it was clipped.

I suppose I shouldn't be so cheap and pay for HBO or something... nah.

Same with Boogie Nights on FX. Why show a movie like Boogie Nights if you are going to edit all of the good shit out of it?

wow...'speed' on amc. they've really gone downhill.

remember when they used to actually show CLASSIC movies? 'class action' was on that channel a few weeks ago, and 'cadillac man' was on recently. WHEN THE FUCK DID 'CADILLAC MAN' BECOME A CLASSIC MOVIE? DID I MISS THE ISSUE OF 'SIGHT AND SOUND' WHERE IT MADE A TEN BEST LIST?

at least i've still got tcm.

did anyone notice the fake bikini top the put on the girl in Showgirls during her topless scene when it was on TV. It looked like they used Microsoft Paint and painted a bikini top on her.
