Guest GreigieMan Posted February 23, 2002 Report Posted February 23, 2002 WWf/nWo WrestleMania X8 European - DDP c vs. Edge Hardcore - Raven c vs. Tazz vs. Al Snow vs. Kane Vacant lightweight - Kidman vs. Tajiri vs. Taka Vacant tag titles - Hell in a Cell - Hardyz vs. Dudleyz IC Ladder Match - Champ, Test vs. Rob Van Dam 3/5 Falls - Angle vs. Jericho Casket - Taker vs. Nash Last man standing - Rock vs. Hall Undisputed - Champ, HHH vs. Benoit Street Fight - Hogan vs. Austin Whats that like, guys? From the mind of the GreigieMan
Guest oldschoolhero Posted February 24, 2002 Report Posted February 24, 2002 Not to bicker, but why all these Angle/Jericho matches? We've seen it before, both guys are heels, and they haven't got enough heat between them to support a main event calibre match. I appreciate pushing them as main eventers, etc. etc., but Mania is not the time to take a chance on unproved drawing cards like that.
Guest converge241 Posted March 2, 2002 Report Posted March 2, 2002 WrestleMania X-8 Heat match: Euro title: DDP defends against Big Show Unification match: X-Pac - Tajiri to finally unify the belts and these two can put on a hot show opener 5 on 5 tag: Rikishi, Zoo Crew & APA vs. Regal, Chuck, Billy, christian, Storm Gotta work these guys in somewhere. Not under survivor series rules. Just to get Scotty and Rikishi's spots in Submission: Angle vs Kane good way to end the feud, Angle can play up that Kane has tapped before. Kane can debut a submission. Hardcore title: Taker vs Maven vs Snow Make it look like Snow and Maven have the advantage, Maven turns and becomes Undertaker's prag. Taker keeps his streak alive. Tag Titles: Tazz& Spike vs Booker T and Test TNT win the belts Intercontinental Title: Rob Van Dam defends against Edge Edge wins a long, clean contest Hell In The Cell: Hardyz vs Dudleyz advertised as last ever confrontation between the two teams Hogan vs. Flair Maybe with Vince and David Flair in the corners. I think this would be a better match than Hogan-Rock. Maybe leads to Vince and Shane against Ric and David at Backlash Austin and Rock vs. Hall and Nash Give it a lot of time, and really have a lot of mic time to build it up in the weeks leading to the show. Unified Title: Jericho vs. Triple H no screwjobs or turns. HHH wins clean
Guest Shadow Posted March 3, 2002 Report Posted March 3, 2002 My Fantasy Never-Gonna-Happen (and never could cause some of these guys are injured) Wrestlemania X8: (Going from Main Event to Opener in match order) WWF Undisputed Title Match Ladder Match Chris Jericho (c.) vs. Chris Benoit A rematch from their beyond-excellent Ladder Match at the 2001 Royal Rumble, this time for the ultimate prize on the big show. Benoit beats Jericho cleanly to win the Undisupted Title in his home country to a standing ovation. 2 out of 3 Falls Match Triple H vs. The Rock Their epic feud continues in a face vs. face clash at Wrestlemania X8. Triple H gets the first fall, Rock takes the second, Triple H scores the Pedgiree but there's a ref bump, and Rock rolls Triple H up after with his legs on the ropes (see, you can do a heel turn without Vince McMahon). Rock is mostly booed by the crowd as he celebrates his victory and Triple H looks on with anger (Rock is a MUCH better heel than face). Submissions/First Blood Match 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin vs. Bret 'Hit Man' Hart A rematch from the double-turn classic at Wrestlemania 13 in 1997. The rules: there's no DQs, no count outs, and the match can either be one by making your opponent bleed or making your opponent tap out (remember how bloody Austin was at WM13? That's the reason). Austin has Hart in the Sharpshooter, his own move, and is ready to have Hart tap out- but Shawn Micheals comes in through the crowd and gives Austin the Sweet Chin Music, then nails him in the face with a chair as he gets back up, causing Austin to bleed. Austin is of course now bleeding and the match is awarded to a still-unconcious Bret Hart. HBK leaves through the crowd once again. #1 Contender to the WWF Undisputed Title Match Kurt Angle vs. Mystery Opponent Ric Flair refused to reveal who Angle's mystery opponent would be....and it ended up being the first true "Real American", Hulk Hogan. So its the Real American vs. the Olympic Hero. Hogan came out to a rousing ovation, but Angle soon took the microphone. Angle tells Hogan that he's washed-up and then says that he wants nothing more than to end his career- and he'll even put his own, IN PRIME career on the line to do it. Hogan soon agrees. Angle beats Hogan cleanly by submission (after holding it on there for a long time) with the Ankle Lock. Angle celebreates retiring pro wrestling's greatest superstar of all time and getting an Undisputed Title shot. (Note: This would work if Vince throws Hogan a HUGE pay day for a one-time deal and makes sure he stays retired. Imagine the heel heat for Angle, who ended the career of a pro wrestling legend. Singles Match Ric Flair vs. The Undertaker The only match I'm keeping from WWF's version. Flair beats Taker cleanly with the Figure Four. Two Falls, Two Titles Triple Threat Match for WWF Intercontiental/ECW World Titles Rhyno (ECW World c.) vs. Rob Van Dam (WWF IC c.) vs. Jerry Lynn The first fall would be for the WWF Intercontiental Title and the second fall would be for the ECW World Title (which Rhyno brought back with him in his return). Jerry Lynn pins RVD in the first fall to win the WWF Intercontiental Title and Rob Van Dam pins Rhyno in the second fall to *finally* win the ECW World Title. WWF Tag Team Titles Match TLC 4inal Hardy Boyz (c.) vs. Dudley Boyz vs. Edge & Christian The match would be the final rematch, called "TLC 4inal", and would feature the Hardys, Dudleys, and newly reunited (and heel) Edge & Christian. Edge reaches for the belt but the ladder is knocked down by Chris Jericho! Jericho helps Matt claim the titles to retain, and the Hardys have turned heel, celebrating with Jericho as they head to the back. Opening Match WWF European Title Match DDP (c.) vs. Lance Storm DDP pins Lance cleanly with the Diamond Cutter. Realistic (i.e. it could happen with the current roster) Wrestlemania X8 Fantasy Card: (For this one, I'm using the Wrestlemania X system that to win/keep the title, all three men must wrestle in two matches. The first challenger, Triple H, must fight in the opener against Kevin Nash, the Champion Chris Jericho must defend his title against Challenger Rob Van Dam, and the winner of that match must put his title on the line against Triple H in the Main Event.) Undisptued World Title Match Chris Jericho (c.) vs. Triple H Right at the start, Triple H knocks Jericho out of the ring and gives accomponiment Stephanie a Pedigree, so she's stretchered to the back and not a factor in this match. The two men have an awesome match that ends with Hunter getting the Pedigree for the pinfall to retain. Singles Match The Rock vs. 'Hollywood' Hogan Rock pins Hogan cleanly for the win. No Disqualifications Match 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin vs. Scott Hall Hall has a lot of help from Kevin Nash throughout the match but mid-way through Triple H comes out and takes out Nash for the screwjob win in the opener. Hall, however, still manages to pin Austin after a Stunner followed by the Razor's Edge on a chair. Undisputed World Title Match Chris Jericho (c.) vs. Rob Van Dam An awesome match. RVD hits the Five Star Frog Splash on Jericho, but Stephanie pulls the referee out of the ring. RVD gives Stephanie a DDT and then goes for the pin again on Jericho, but the referee takes too long in getting back into the ring and Jericho kicks out. Vince McMahon makes his usual run-in (hey, better now than the real Main Event, right?), but RVD knocks him out with a Spinning Heel Kick followed by the Five Star Frog Splash using a chair, and Vince is stretchered to the back. As RVD celebrates this, Jericho rolls him up from behind for the three count to retain his titles and go onto the Main Event to face Triple H. WWF Intercontiental Title Match Lance Storm (c.) vs. Kurt Angle Better than Angle-Kane, right? Lance is played as the home country hero and is the face in this match, getting the title off of Regal befoer the PPV. Angle seems to get the pinfall on Storm after an Angle Slam, but Triple H does a run-in and Pedigrees Angle (pay-back for No Way Out), and Storm covers Angle to retain (sets up Hunter's first title defense, against Angle, at Backlash). WWF Tag Team Titles Match Booker T & Test (c.) vs. Edge & Christian Here's the story behind this match: Booker & Test get the titles off the Ambigiously Gay Duo going into Wrestlemania X8, and Booker, still mad at Edge for getting that shampoo commerical, tells Edge he can have a title shot at X8, because he and Test want to beat his ass. He tells Edge to find a partner. Under DDP's encouragement, Christian volunteers to re-form Team E&C, and we have this match. DDP accomponies Team E&C down to ringside. During the match, DDP swerves us (instead of the too-obvoius Christian swerve) and gives Chrisitan the Diamond Cutter, allowing Booker to pin Edge to retain. (Sets-up DDP vs. Christian, Euro Title, and Edge vs. Booker for Backlash). Singles Match The Undertaker vs. Ric Flair Flair gets Taker to submit to the Figure Four cleanly for the win. Opening Match Triple H vs. Kevin Nash Good match-up. Hunter goes for the pin on Nash after a Pedigree but Jericho does a run-in, nailing Triple H with the WCW World Title belt, allowing Nash to get the Jacknife Powerbomb for the pinfall victory. So, let me know what you think of both of them. Thanks.
