Guest hardygrrl Report post Posted July 24, 2002 For me, it's Mucky Pup. An East Coast garage punk band from the early Nineties who just recently re-formed. You can hear all their old stuff here.

Guest treble charged Report post Posted July 24, 2002 Well, outside of some Canadians are even fewer Americans, no one's ever heard of treble charger, so I'll put them in that category.
Guest BifEverchad Report post Posted July 24, 2002 Well, outside of some Canadians are even fewer Americans, no one's ever heard of treble charger, so I'll put them in that category. One of the best Canadian bands ever. Not to mention Gob, who recently signed a big record deal with Arista records? Well whoever it was, I think they're gonna be big. Perhaps the next biggest band to come out of Canadian. Well sorta like Sum 41 or Nickelback did...

Guest CoreyLazarus416 Report post Posted July 24, 2002 Shaved Bear, it's funny you said Nevermore, because I was listening to their s/t debut on Century Media earlier today... I'd say Shadows Fall if they never had that small MTV exposure (which actually had most of my friends thinking of me, since Shadows Fall is currently my favorite band), so I'll say... Guest LooseCannon Report post Posted July 25, 2002 Well, outside of Kinetic and maybe Edwin MacPhisto, I don't think anyone here has heard of Death Cab for Cutie, my favorite modern day band. I've only heard "Something About Airplanes," and that's an awesome cd, but I don't own it yet. I've been meaning to check out some of their stuff for a while. And I'll throw in Dr. Octagon as a guy few people have heard of. And Swearing At Motorists, a lo fi band from Dayton Oh.
Guest Kinetic Report post Posted July 25, 2002 The weird thing is that in real life situations, my taste in music seems mind-bendingly strange and radical. No one I know has even heard of most of the stuff I like. On the Internet, though, my CD collection seems pretty tame compared to a lot of stuff. I can't even think of a band that I listen to that would be foreign to everyone here.

Guest raptor Report post Posted July 25, 2002 Ani Difranco comes to my hometown a lot (Arcata, California). Not too big a fan, but I don't hate her (which is a pretty big compliment from me) . My band: 8stops7. They had a minor (and I stress minor) hit on MTV-2 with "Question Everything," but never went anywhere.
