Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted July 24, 2002 It's not often that a wrestler goes from competing for a World Title one week, to just a "regular" match the next and may actually have to prepare even more for his opponent, but that will be the situation that Low Ki faces this Wednesday night when he faces an old nemesis in The Red Storm (known to fans as Red or The Amazing Red). To many NWA TNA fans, Red is an unknown quantity, but that is not the case for the man who took AJ Styles to the limit on last week's broadcast. Low Ki and Red have battled on independent shows up and down the East Coast for the last year and have a heated rivalry going. The matches between the two have been so close that neither has a leg up on each. They are that evenly matched. Red, who some have compared to a young Rey Misterio Jr., is a dynamic high flyer who goes airborne seemingly at a moment's notice. Trained by former ECW World Heavyweight Champion Mikey Whipwreck, Red uses an amazing aerial style that will make him the perfect fit for the X Division. It also makes him a difficult opponent for Low Ki because their styles are so similar. In addition to Low Ki, Red is also very familiar with the X Division Champion AJ Styles as well. The two men wrestled each other in the second round of the 6th Annual Super Eight Tournament on March 2, 2002 in Wilmington, DE. Styles won the hard fought bout, but Red was in it until the very end, just as Low Ki was with Styles last week. This Wednesday night, two men who are very similar to each other will face off in a match that will go a long way towards their position in the X Division. Neither man can afford a loss, so they will have to do whatever it takes to win. You can see how it all shakes out this Wednesday night at 8 p.m. on pay-per-view 1. I love that they don't ignore the wrestlers past...take note WWE 2. It sounds like more than a one time deal to me...
