Guest kelloggs Report post Posted July 25, 2002 After an interesting night out with the sWo at a local bar, Mak Francis sits at a table while a female, Samantha Jones, in blue jeans and a dress shirt finishes placing a new white bandage over the gash he received against CIA in the SJL Metal Cage match. His eyes are heavy with dark bags and he looks out of it in the chair as the female SJL trainer, who received a house call, starts to speak. “Come on Mak, what have I told you about this. You remind me of Tom when he was in the JL. You both seem to do the wrong thing when it involves alcohol.” States the dark haired young lady. Francis lifts his head from off the table and rebuts. “How was it my fault that those guy walked into my left hand and then fell through some bar tables?” Adds a sarcastic voiced Franchise. “Well it’s your fault when you, Tony, Mike and…hey Mak, what the hell is Y2K’s real name…” wonders the young lady Mak groans and answers back. “Damned if I know Ms. Jones…ugh…I’ve got a hell of a headache.” “Why a bar room brawl? Especially when you’re the only one with a hand that got hit by a steel chair.” Questions the Junior League trainer. “Brawl, it was more like a sWo Thor beating.” “Cut the crappy jokes Mak,” She lightly touches the injury in question and receives a bad response. “MOTHER FUCKER! I would if the room would stop spinning and my hand would stop throbbing!” “Watch the language and give it here…” She takes his hand in hers and after seeing the swelling shakes her head. “Don’t forget to comment on Y2K’s use of the barstool on that guys noggin and those wicked stereo powerbomb’s me and Tony gave those fools. All this cause Mike hit the guy with a beer bottle after being interrupted while talking to his girl. SHIT THAT HURT!” “You poor baby, look at that thing.” Finally getting serious she says. “ I think you broke your finger. Or possibly even your knuckle…that would definitely need surgery.” Francis “Okay, so taking Vodka shots wasn’t the best of ideas too calm me down for the show but I have to back up my friends when things get rough. Even Tony and his semi-attitude problem.” “Huh?” asks a quizzical trainer. “Don’t worry about it. SO are you gonna kiss it and make it feel better. I never got your first name…” “It’s Samantha. Real smooth, Mister Franchise but I don’t get down on the first night.” “Damn, shot down by a Monica song. That both sucks’ and blows or is that-” And with that Samantha puts some pressure on his left hand. “OWWWWOCH, Okay-Okay, I’m sorry okay. What happened to the code of ethics and crap?” She just gives him a knowing look and continues to stare at his swollen hand. “Well can I wrestle Sammy?” “Sammy? Uh…yeah, you’ll be able to go, barely but you can go.” She looks nervously at the injury and gets up to get the med kit. “I have to tape those two fingers together thought. You’ll be able to climb but punching is a no-no.” “Great, practically a one handed man in the biggest match of my life.” Chimes in Francis while she comes back with the splint and athletic tape. “CIA isn’t to much better. He came into the office earlier. Barely got cleared, just like you are now.” She adds with a chuckle. “The World Champ is the only one not half dead for this match.” “Great to here. Really it is! The guy we both couldn’t beat is the only one a hundred percent. I’ll still win though. I didn’t work this hard to not win now. To have Tony at the bar questioning my heart. I have “it” more than anyone in this damn fed. Who’s gonna beat me Sam, the Franchise and the sWo.” Finishes Francis just as Samantha concludes taping his hand. “I should go…” “Sure you don’t want to stay…” “Maybe we’ll talk about that later…” “Later tonight Sam…” “Much later, around the time you grow up. Cute or not…talk is cheap and that sWo thing is like you clinging to your childhood. A time when you can bitch about things not going your way.” “You’re calling my friends and Edwin screwing me over a crutch?” asks a bewildered Francis. “Everyone can talk a big game but a true Franchise would grow up and prove they’re the best by winning without help, hurt or not. When is the last time you did that?” Francis study’s her face and gets up slowly, wobbling to the bathroom. “I’ll see you later.” And as she hears the wretching of a grown man regurgitating, she leaves the hotel room. He talked a good game to her earlier but when it came to crunch time his talk was cheap. At the first sign of questioning he ran away. All she could wonder as she left is would he hide behind his friends or give up his crutch, if only to prove for once that he is a true Franchise.

Guest ScorpionDanceofDeath Report post Posted July 25, 2002 A nice follow through to Fugue's promo. I also liked the mention of CIA's visit to the medic's office. It'll be interesting to see a cage match with two out of three contenders not at their best..

Guest Edwin MacPhisto Report post Posted July 25, 2002 Phat stuff. Brawls = cool. Bars = cool. Barroom brawls? Supercool. The idea of having two of the guys in a triple threat very obviously below their peak performance is going to be awesome. It's really going to necessitate the two mortal enemies teaming up to even make a dent against Renegade. Too, too sweet.
Guest Rabbi_wilson13 Report post Posted July 25, 2002 Excellent work, Mak. As Edwin said, any match, especially a triple threat, when the majority of those involved barely get cleared to wrestle has a certain fun-ness to it. Speaking of matches where the majority of the people aren't going to be cleared to wrestle, time for some WarGames. Good luck at Metal, Mak, and hopefully everyone keeps on promoin'.
