Is there anyone here into Fist of the North Star?

 

If you've seen it, did you like it or not?

 

If so, have you seen a lot of it, and if so, how can I score some of it?

Ummm, hell yah I like Fist of the North Star. Try ebay or something because last I heard the movie went out of print. I know a comic book store that carries episodes to rent, but unless you want to rent them all one day and then just keep them, I am not sure what to do.

Suncoast Videos has vast supplies of the movie and the series on DVD and video...pricey, but it's probably your best bet...at any rate, the movie owns, though it is a tad long...nothing better than heads blowing up left and right, but it has no depth. it just gives you the characters right away and you have to run with it from there...the series is where the real deal is, really goes into the history of Kenshiro and all the characters throughout that fucked up universe...

Gratuitous gore and violence. Heads exploding and people literally getting sliced like a Christmas ham. Stuff like that. Thankfully, no sex since I'd hate to see how those segments turn out.

what ever you do.....do not watch the live action movie staring Daniel whats his name with Costas Mandar as the evil brother and Chris Penn as the brother with the messed up face.

 

I have seen the series on Showtime and love it but the introduction of the variations of the Fist every 5 minutes does get annoying. The anime movie from 1987? is an ultra volient movie that must be seen by fans of the tv series.
