Guest Jobber of the Week Report post Posted July 25, 2002 An "entrance" meaning the whole damn thing, btw. Video, music, pyro, any special effects. My favorite intros: Kane (first) - The whole arena blacks out, the organ music strikes up like something out of Phantom of the Opera, and then BOOM. The entire stadium soaks in red light for another good 20 seconds or so until Kane can lumber into the entrance. Christian (current) - Aw, cmon. You've seen it. Looked really cool at WMX8, with the big goldish beams of light swiriling around from the stands. Hulk Hogan (7/4/02 Real American entrance) - Call it a nostalgia pop or whatever, but you can't tell me you wouldn't go batshit if you were in that crowd and that tune started playing. Chris Jericho (WWF/E) - Er, right. Again, you've seen it. I wish they'd take out the clock bit already though. Andre the Giant - No music. No special effects. Just a man. A really, really big man. Worst entrances: Tazz - Not so much too bad (the fog and everything is kind of cool), but they replaced his original kick-ass music with some metallarap shit. Edge - Again, I like fog, and especially how he comes walking out of it, but THE STROBES HAVE TO GO. When he comes out, the entire stage flashes white strobe so fast I expect the crowd to have a collective seizure. nWo (WWF/E) Frame rate sputters, color disappears. Quite possibly the most complex intro they've made, but it's usually ruined by the colored TNN logo in the corner or something else. I actually thought there was going to be scripted "feed interference" the first time I saw it, but with every consecutive entrance it got lamer and lamer. The Hardy Boyz (current) - I love black lights. I love Day-Glo paint. I love it how Disney creates amazing rides with not much more than those two ingredients and some robots. However, I don't like raves/ravers/whatever, so the Hardy entrance leaves me always asking, "Wow, is he (are they?) a dumbass or what?" Undertaker (Rollin') - The song was shunned even by the mainstream before Vince got around to replacing it. The Shockmaster (WCW) - Included for pure comedy value. So, what's yours? Guest y2jailbait Report post Posted July 25, 2002 Booker T (Sept. on Raw 2001 In Toronto): He was accompainied by Shane McMahon which gave him major heat. He was out at the beginning of the Christain/Rock match for the WCW title. The entrance still sticks with me because i thought it was the only real time ive noticed (even when i saw him live) that when "Can U Dig It Sucka?" was met with just total and gigantic heat. Worst: any time Vince McMahon comes out to that forrid No Chance In Hell, no effects, no nuthin.

Guest nl5xsk1 Report post Posted July 26, 2002 If we can choose old-school entrances, I always thought the Road Warriors entrance was the best. You'd hear the opening chords to Iron Man, and they'd run in and just dismantle their opponents. The whole thing would take like 90 seconds, and would just be a total squash. Then they got those stupid spiked shoulder pads and it all went downhill. They couldn't just run in and assault anymore, because of the stupid spikes. So they'd walk in, slowling remove their S&M outfits, and then attack their opponents. It just wasn't the same.
