Guest Singular Report post Posted July 25, 2002 I'm curious to know what ISP most people use. I have already had a falling out with AOL so that one's out. I'm looking for a cheap (around 10 bucks a month) ISP that won't boot me off all the time.
Guest Your Olympic Hero1 Report post Posted July 25, 2002 http://www.address.com/main.asp?p=freeinternet It's free, all you have to do is reply to some E-Mail advertisements. I found it for my cheapskate friend and he says it's great.
Guest hardyz1 Report post Posted July 25, 2002 I first got onto the internet in May 1997 with AOL. This is when AOL started their unlimited service. I stayed with them for five years and am now on Penn's Woods, a regional ISP that has service in Pennsylvania, Maryland, and West Virginia. It is very good. The absolute best thing, though, is that they filter out spam and virus e-mails for you. And a year's service costs 150 for new customers, 180 for existing. But the spam/virus filtering FUCKING RULES! Actually, I'm technically not off AOL yet. I called to cancel in April (I think, maybe it was March) and they gave me two free months of service. I had to call before June 4 to get it totally cancelled. Well I forgot so I got charged for a month before I called to cancel again. They gave me two free months AGAIN and now I have to remember to cancel before September 4.
