Guest Big McLargeHuge Posted July 25, 2002 Report Posted July 25, 2002 Aw, I thought this was the old thread where Zacalex was banned. Zacalex: "You dumbass, trolls don't exist." Classic. So yeah, Kirby show. Great.
Guest Your Olympic Hero1 Posted July 25, 2002 Report Posted July 25, 2002 Actually, Fox Kids is going to be dead this fall. Fox has hired an independent animation firm to produce their Saturday morning block, and the best part of it?... NEW EPISODES OF TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES!!!!!!!!!!

Guest evenflowDDT Posted July 26, 2002 Report Posted July 26, 2002 NEW episodes of TMNT? I'm not sure how well that'll turn out... it'll probably be blasphemous! But... if they're going to go ahead with it anyway, at least re-release the old VHS episode compilation tapes on DVD? It's not gonna happen, but you can hope, right? Anyway, I used to like Kirby a lot when I was younger, so even though I'll get hell in college for waking up my roommates by watching a little pink ball on Saturday mornings, I'll check out an episode or two to see how it is.
Guest Mattdotcom Posted July 26, 2002 Report Posted July 26, 2002 I've known about this for a while and am really excited, so I expect it to get an awful time slot, awful voice actors, and awful stories, similar to the Donkey Knog Country abortion years ago on Fox Family. I'm hoping, though....I'm hoping. You know what video game I'd like to see get a cartoon? Super Smash Bros. Do it Justice League style, with team ups. It'd work...just put me in charge.
Guest Your Olympic Hero1 Posted July 26, 2002 Report Posted July 26, 2002 Actually, the TMNT series is shaping up to be pretty good. Peter Laird, who along with Kevin Eastman originally created the Ninja Turtles in comic book form, has signed on to write and direct the new animated series. He promises to bring the series back to its roots, throwing in references and inside-jokes for fans. Playmates still has the rights to produce TMNT toys, and they plan to release a new line of figures and such in 2003. TMNT is expected to debut on FOX in the spring of 2003. It's so great!
