Gen....you can't expect WDI guys to

 

1. Claim that they are WDI guys and WDI guys ONLY because that would defeat the purpose of posting here.

 

2. Limit friends from WDI chatting.....You're basically saying that if we're in general chat and two guys who primarily post at WDI respond to one another, it should go in here.

 

3. WDI related matters should be discussed *gasp* AT WDI.

 

All you're doing is insulting WDI posters by making this thread.

Hey yo, really quick, since I'm still pretty new (6 months at the board in September! ) I still don't know the story behind WDI. Anyone care to post an abridged version?

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeell.....

 

Back in the day when this was still the Smarks Forum, troubles came to pass between Scott Keith and a few of the board members.

 

You see, it seems that in the Flamming Folders, people were complaining, bitching and fighting, and people were posting multiple, useless posts, just to get a higher post count.

 

This led to the whole mess being ratted out on by someone to Keith, who decided that A) The Flamming Folder was gone and B) The Post counts were gone.

 

Seems silly, but that kinda set some people off. This lead to a number of people being banned, for varying reasons like complaining, posting pictures of Keith modified to look like Hitler, and nothing.

 

The banned people set up their own board, where they were free to flame on and have post counts. These people were eventually joined by others who just tired of the Smarks Board, and it grew into WDI.

 

That's the summed-up version. I'm sure IO, Witty or Dutch can give you names, dates, and exact times, but I'm not into that whole kinda thing, so there.

 

And how do I know? I'm a WDI poster myself. I just don't make a stink about it.

Can we also force them to accept our beliefs. *Sigh* As a Native American, these jokes are not totally lost on me... Finally, this isn't a WDI insult thread, it was supposed to be a "good will" thread(that phrase will now be made fun of). If you don't like, do whatever. I mean if, if this was a WDI hate thread than wouldn't I post stuff like this...?
