Yeah, I saw that column. Complete crap. I can't believe someone would waste their time writing that stuff.

Claim that Foley "Made" Triple H.

Forget the fact that Foley was a fat Jobber with a skill for falling off things. Forget that Foley had a LOT of matches with a LOT of guys, and none of them became Triple H.

Ok, while we play the game "Foley is a fat jobber" let's take a look at some other guys Foley made. I'd say he made the Rock. Rock wins the title, then embarks on a feud with Foley that solidifies both men in the mains.

I would also say that Foley helped get Austin over right after Austin won the title. And he revived the Taker's career with their compelling feud when Foley arrived in 1996.

So let's take a look here: Foley helped get over 3 of the WWF's biggest stars of the past 5 years, under THREE different identities (Dude Love with Austin, Mankind with Rock, and Cactus Jack with HHH).

I'm not gonna say HHH couldn't get over at all without Foley but Foley certainly got HHH over in spades as a ruthless asshole.

This writer is a dumbass.

While I could see HHH being higher on this board's hate list than Osama bin Ladin, you're right about the columnist having a few points that were a bit off base...

I'm going to ignore him calling Mick Foley a fat jobber, because that's just a stupid thing to say. But I think his point was that Mick Foley has had a lot of matches with a lot of guys, that didn't become main eventers. Yeah he helped solidify Rock, Austin, Taker, and HHH. But there were guys that he tried to elevate to main event status who just didn't have it. Val Venis comes to mind. I think the guy's point in defending HHH was that it takes more than beating Mick Foley to become a main eventer. HHH had to hold up his end of the matches, and once he did get over thanks to Mick, HHH had to do his part to stay over at the main event level.

Especially considering the fact that a fat jobber has held 3 WWF Titles...
