I wonder if it was the same person who did the exact same set-up for Star Wars Ep. 2.

That irked me.

What a jackass, I try not to hang out too much in that folder because I've had 3 or 4 movies spoiled for me since joining this board in February.

Well, since it's been spoiled for you, does it at least sound pretty good?

Really? I post (or at least visit, most topics lately are ones I can't contribute to, which is somewhat sad considering I'm a DVD reviewer for the site ;)) in the TV/movies/DVD folder almost every day, and I've yet to have a movie spoiled for me. Of course, that's because if I see a topic about a movie I want or am going to see (e.g. Halloween: Resurrection, I just don't go to the thread).

Although the real question is... why the hell do you want to see Goldmember anyway? All the (non-spoiler) reviews of it I've read so far have said its a terribly boring rehash of the same jokes that were already rehashed in The Spy who Shagged Me.

Anyway... sorry about that, far be it from me to judge anyone's taste in movies, but that sucks. Depending on the movie, I don't mind if its spoiled or not... like, if it's a serious or "complex" movie, like Royal Tenenbaums, I'd be really pissed if it was spoiled for me, but if its a throwaway b-movie or summer blockbuster like I usually watch, it really doesn't matter to me because its not exactly what you'd call a plot-based film anyway.

What I hate more than anything else though, are when movies are spoiled by the TRAILERS. Like when Sum of all Fears came out, and in between clips of Ben Affleck talking to Morgan Freeman, there was an explosion. Now, given that the movie's based on the tense situations surrounding a bomb that might go off, why the HELL would you show the bomb blowing up IN THE TRAILER?! Talk about giving away the whole movie... idiots! And for that reason alone, I didn't see the movie. Hope I didn't miss anything important.

It probably could be avoided but something makes me think that if a movie has just come out and someone has it in their thread title without the word spoiler they are discussing some aspects they can't wait to see or are wondering about BEFORE veiwing the movie.

Usually doesn't turn out that way, hence my bitterness. Not to bash the folder, chill I love it. But times like that keep me from being a frequent visitor. Maybe it's all my fault, but I just don't go often.
