Will nWo make the mid-card better?

Recommended Posts

Guest NoCalMike

Well it seemed in WCW that since the nWo made up the main event in 99% of the ppvs, all the good wrestling took place on the middle-upper middle card.  Could the same happen in the WWF, as you will be having guys like Jericho,Benoit,RVD,Angle..etc....in the middle-upper middlecard for the near future!?!

No it won't do that for WWF.

WWF had plenty of talented guys to make a great mid card with before nWo was even rumored to come back. However they still weren't able to build into anything decent. So how exactly would three old fuckers change this?

Ermm, I should have titled this thread, "Will the nWo make the Midcard better, BY DEFAULT" because I wasn't trying to suggest that Hall/Nash/Hogan were trying to help anyone out, I merely was saying that with the nWo consuming so much of the main event time, it will push others downward on the card making the mid-card where the good wrestling action is at.

It depends on how the midcard is booked. For the time being, if you want your wrestling fix, it would have to come from the midcard.

Your original post was clear enough.

But nWo won't push that many back to midcard. Jericho will probably stay around main events even when he drops the belts. Well ok i wouldn't really be surprised if they shipped him back to IC. However I don't think that WWF has spent so much time on his main event push to just give up on him. So since it would make the time spent worthless I doubt that WWF will move him totally out to make room for matches made off name power alone.

Yes Beniot returning will help the mid card alot but he would've been mid carding at first even if nWo wasn't around. As for the rest of the mid card it will have the same guys as it has now.

That's my point, WWF hasn't used any of them well before NwO was there. NwO being there isn't going to get WWF to suddenly use the mid carders well. Hell nWo being there will probably cause WWF to ignore it more then ever so that they can focus all their writing on making nWo angle look good.
