A)Head-drop-tastic suplexes.Who's gonna take those?

B)Lack of REAL wrestling acumen.He was never that good in the ring.

C)I hate to say it,but he's too damn short.Do you think anybody's gonna job to him at that height?The only reason he got over in ECW is because they had jobbers who weren't afraid to eat a nice hot bowl of death in order to get someone over,unlike the generally more selfish workers in the WWE (not that there's anything wrong with being selfish when it comes to taking a Tazz suplex).

Also,I can't believe people here are COMPLAINING about psychology,logical builds and in-match story-telling in the CW division.You want highspots?Go watch NWA:TNA for the next 3 weeks until they go under.NWA:TNA's dead in the water,folks,and all the brainbusters and "cool moves" in the world aren't gonna save them.Besides,I'm beyond caring about Rey anymore since he's re-donned the mask.Fuck Vince McMahon and fuck Rey Mysterio,Jr.I hope he's happy with himself now that he'll probably be killed in his home country.

NWA:TNA is not gonna die in 3 weeks. It's more entertaining than the WWE right now and alot of people here really enjoy it and can't wait till Wednesday's just as marks can't wait till Mondays or Thursdays....

 

They might have a small fanbase...but they are loyal...the WWE has a large fanbase but alot of people aren't very loyal...as people will leave and come back over certain weeks of time and that is noticed by the ratings rising and dropping at crazy rates (+.5 in a WEEK)

 

You listen to what everybody here says and you basically turn against it. Alot of boardmembers have been waiting for months for Rey Misterio to come to the WWE...and most of them did not exactly enjoy him with the mask off...

 

I don't think it matters to him or his family if he puts it back on.....he probably realizes how stupid it was to take it off in the first place. I would rather remember him for being a masked luchadore than being an unmasked Filthy Animal...

 

 

Okay...fuck Vince McMahon...you want a reason to be pissed at him...be pissed at him because he lets his business decisions get controlled for him and as long as his ego is stroked and he makes money...he doesn't care.

Entertaining does not equal ratings.Look at WWF RAW in '97.And now that Russo's there it's primed to get a helluva lot less entertaining.And yes,they will be dead.Maybe not in 3 weeks,but pretty damn soon.They needed 56,000 PPV buys to stay afloat,and they're getting a fraction of that.Even Jerry Jarrett admits they're in trouble.

I've been waiting for months too.And I did enjoy the match a lot.I hated him with the mask off,because he sucked shit as a worker,because of his knee injuries.

I can nearly guarantee it matters to his family.He should be worried too,since a lot of lucha fans in Mexico take that shit REALLY seriously,and will probably end up at least attacking him if he crosses the border and does a show there.

Why can't you remember him for that?All it takes is a few tapes.And he's not a luchadore anymore.Luchadores wrestle lucha style,not North American style.I bet he does realize how stupid taking it off was,but I hope he realizes death is not an acceptable risk for a large paycheck.

2. He's always taken the stance that the buyrates aren't as good as they needed.

But, one question about that, is the mask he's wearing now different than the one he lost (didn't he lose a black one?)? Does that matter, or in Mexico is it like you lose ANY mask you're banned from wearing masks FOREVER?

What I got out of the Torch was the cable companies had botched the numbers, and the actual buy were in the ten to twenty thousand range; and that if Jarrett had known this he oculd have scaled back earlier.

Folks: HHH and Austin wrestled all out, and look at them. The Rock, Kurt Angle, RVD and Molly are adjusting perfectly to the style, and they don't get injured as often.

 

If they sacrifice insanity for compelling storyline, then good. Now, the writers will have to do better storylines!! Jamie Noble is not one of the insane flying all over the place cruisers you guys like, but he has the best angle of all the wrestlers.

 

And no, if Roddy Piper didn't get the WCW title he was supposed to get, if Stephanie can return to TV five months after her goos-bye match, then you are not banned from wearing masks if you lose a mask match.

They see the mask as the wrestler's identity, and by virtue of losing the mask, you lose your identity and your honor. So just putting your mask on after you've lost it is really a lot like "prositituting yourself" as Mick Foley says, by blowing off retirement matches.

 

Rey can get away with the mask this side of the Rio Grande, but if he goes to a AAA show, riots will ensue.
