Guest Mattdotcom Report post Posted July 26, 2002 My computer has been on the fritz for a while, now, but it got worse in the past two months. Today, I took my computer to Best Buy for a virus eradication, system tune-up, and had 128 MB of memory installed. It seems to have helped, except for this: I've been trying to get the EWR ame since it was released and the problem went like this: Cannot find the file "'C:\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\AIY5HF28\ewr[2].exe'" (or one of its components). Make sure the path and filename are correct and that all required libraries are available. I get that message when I try to download anything like EWR or a media player. What does it mean? I'll be the first to admit I don't know much about computers, but I've been getting this alot recently. So, should I try saving it to a disk? Or something else? Also, I thought that DLL program you can get on the EWR site might help, but I got the same message. What libraries should be available? Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Guest The Man in Blak Report post Posted July 26, 2002 I'm not exactly sure why it's prompting you for any particular libraries on a download request...but I do know that the Temporary Internet Files folder is basically where IE caches all of your web-browsing stuff. My recommendation would be to clear out your cache (Tools/Internet Options/General tab, under Temporary Internet Files) and, hopefully, clear out some of those library-specific dependencies in the process.
