Guest evenflowDDT Report post Posted July 26, 2002 Hey, not sure if this goes in literature/comic books or not, but a few days ago I found this website, about a woman who said she'd eat a book for every 50,000 people who signed up on her website pledging to read a book. Pretty crazy huh? Anyway, just wanted to promote it... I mean, sitting in front of a computer reading a message-board all day proves you can read something, so why not just read a book instead, so later they can put video or photos (I guess) of somebody eating a book! C'mon, you know you wanna see her eat a book... Anyway, I just signed up, so I'm off to read the Dynamite Kid's auto-biography Pure Dynamite. Talk to you guys later! Guest evenflowDDT Report post Posted July 27, 2002 By the way, I really did spend most of my afternoon reading Pure Dynamite, Dynamite Kid's autobiography, and I'll say that it was pretty interesting, although there was an almost disgusting amount of typos. Dynamite Kid is always a wrestler I knew by name, but that's about it... I've never seen any of his or The British Bulldogs' matches (wait, that's not true, I saw WMIII, but that's it), but have always heard him held in fairly high regard. Reading the book, I was most interested by the travelling between promotions, specifically to and fro between WWF and All Japan (that'd be unheard of now), and was saddened by how badly his body was ravaged by steroids. Say what you will about Triple H, but I certainly hope that he isn't left confined to a wheelchair because of steroid abuse (if it is, in fact, occurring). I also found his relations (or, more appropriately, lack thereof for the most part outside of the ring) with his partner Davey Boy Smith to be very interesting, though it was sad that the two hadn't spoken in years, especially now that DBS is dead, a year or two at the most after the book's publication. Anyway, so yea... give a hoot, read a book! Someone else might just eat one!
Guest Zack Malibu Report post Posted July 27, 2002 Lady eating a book, huh. Maybe she needed more fiber in her diet. This has been the Zack Malibu lame joke of the day. And Pure Dynamite is a very good read, 'Flow. Nice to see we still have the same taste
