Guest Karnage Report post Posted July 26, 2002 Who you think is gonna win the fight? I personally think Johnson is gonna win, eventhough Ruiz beat Holyfield, Johnson is undefeated...and he's Canadian!
Guest alkeiper Report post Posted July 26, 2002 I don't think either fighter is good enough to win.
Guest jimmy no nose Report post Posted July 28, 2002 Ruiz retains after Johnson hits him with 3 low blows. It was not a very good fight. That was a crazy-low number of punches for 10 rounds.

Guest RobJohnstone Report post Posted July 28, 2002 nbt you are right. I have been saying this since I saw the first ruiz/evander fight. All he does is lead with a jab and then clinch. He literally tries to get people dq'd. His jab is descent, but as a whole his style is dirty and cheap. He is the worst boxer ever to be world champion, and remember, bruce seldon held the title(I met bruce, he's cool but he wasn't a good boxer ). I thought holyfield/ruiz 3 was the worst fight I ever saw until tonight. It was a disgrace. Ruiz should be a wrestler the way he sold some of those "low blows". The first on hit the nuts but the rest 3 did not. He is a pussy and a coward. FUCK RUIZ, I hope lewwis fights his and kills him in the ring so he doesn't get ME purses anymore. --Rob

Guest Some Guy Report post Posted July 28, 2002 Being a Boston guy I like Ruiz, but that fight was alwful. I'm still trying to decide which fight I liked better, Ruiz's or Butterbean/Holmes. The latter was just fucking terrible, if you guys didn't see it.
Guest redbaron51 Report post Posted July 28, 2002 That match was so painful, I would rather watch a Mark Henry vs Big Show ladder match.
Guest Redhawk Report post Posted July 29, 2002 I heard that Evander Holyfield is the WBA's No. 1 contender, so unless something happens (like Evander decides he doesn't want to fight Ruiz), we'll be seeing Holyfield-Ruiz IV. I'm no fan of Ruiz, but one reason I was so pissed that Evander got that cheap win over Rahman is because I knew it meant he'd get another title shot. Ruiz sucks, but at least he's young. Holyfield just needs to retire before he gets seriously fucked up by someone. But Ruiz hits too light to do it. Just put Evander in there with Lennox Lewis or David Tua and let them retire him. Guest alkeiper Report post Posted July 29, 2002 Just put Evander in there with Lennox Lewis or David Tua and let them retire him. You could say much the same about John Ruiz.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted August 1, 2002 That fight was wretched. Lennox should just hang 'em up as the champ. No way he's going to get any respect beating up chumps like Ruiz. Lewis is too damn talented to waste his time. The heavyweight division needs some good young blood, STAT.
Guest alkeiper Report post Posted August 1, 2002 I'm torn. Lewis can NOT retire as champion. That would absolutely destroy the division. We'd have five different alphabet organizations all claiming their own world champion, and none of them would be right.
Guest Some Guy Report post Posted August 2, 2002 Maybe Lewis should just go out and win all five titles, that might spark interest in boxing. But Lewis killing Tyson really hurt the sport, that was teh last big draw and the product was predictible but devasating to the sport. I can't beleive anyone really shought Tyson was going to win that fight when I don;t think even Tyson thought he would.
Guest LexLugerRules Report post Posted August 2, 2002 Everyone knows if Mike Tyson was in his prime he would destroy Lewis. I think Lewis should fight that Wladamir guy, and proof to the media once again he is the most dominate Heavyweight from 1999-To now.

Mike Tyson is now fighting Brotha so I heard, after that Tyson should fight someone like McCline, than he would be ready for Lewis. I can see it now, Mike punching the dreadlocks off of Lewis. Lennox-Lewis-fears-Vladamir-Klitchklo. Tyson might be giving Botha a rematch, but look for a Tyson match in November for sure. Botha or not. Tyson signed a contract, but hasent said who yet. And Lewis would beat Klitchklo. Klitchklo lost to Ross friggin Purity.

Guest alkeiper Report post Posted August 4, 2002 Klitchklo lost to Ross friggin Purity And Lewis lost to Oliver McCall. Lennox-Lewis-had-a-hard-friggin-time beating-Shannon-Briggs,who's-a God-Damn-BUM! It's all physical differences. Briggs is 6'5", Tyson is 5'11". I'd love to see Tyson fight David Tua. Both are similar fighters, and Tua has the chin to take Tyson's punches. It might be a good brawl.
Guest LexLugerRules Report post Posted August 4, 2002 And Lewis lost to Oliver McCall. Lewis avenged that by making McCall cry.
Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Report post Posted August 4, 2002 Lennox Lewis didn't make Oliver McCall do anything. The guy was on crack and had a nervous breakdown. If you want to take it there, you can say Lewis was beaten by a crackhead and never got that win back. A crackhead proved himself superior to Lewis.
Guest LexLugerRules Report post Posted August 4, 2002 Excuses... Lewis would of killed McCall anyway, just coming off a great victory over Ray Mercer.
