Guest Vern Gagne Report post Posted July 27, 2002 We haven't even reached August yet IMO several teams look like they'll make it. First of all barring a disaster Minnesota, and Atlanta are in. The Yankees have a 5 game lead and are pulling away, let's not kid ourselves New York won't blow that lead, and even if they do like Atlanta they'll still end up has the wildcard. Arizona's gotta 4 game lead over Los Angeles, with LA playing terribly since the break and San Fran, playing without Bonds...IMO, with Johnson and Schilling, Arizona will have a tough time losing the lead. The way I see Atlanta, New York, Minnesota are in. Arizona is close, not a lock but close. In the National League the wildcard and the Central Divison are up for grabs. In the American League the West and Wildcard are up for grabs.
