Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted July 28, 2002 Report Posted July 28, 2002 I went to Barnes and Noble this morning because I decided that I wanted to read the Sex, Lies and Headlocks book. I don't expect it to be any good...but I figured what the hell.,,I was curious...stop looking at me like that Anyway...I also picked up Dave Meltzer's Tributes book...which I had read most of before but wanted to own it. AND! For the first time I was able to get my hands on Pure Dynamite! Which I have wanted to read. So I dropped a nice chunck of change on Wrestling books today...and I realized...I had bought more wrestling bookds than I had ever even read. The only other books I've read were the two Foley biographies. Which I loved. What books have you read and how were they?
Guest Youth N Asia Posted July 28, 2002 Report Posted July 28, 2002 Both Foley books...the first one is a classic...2nd one is ok though Pure Dynamite...I love this book Rock's book...Blah! it was a gift DDP's book is alright...but he takes WAY too long to get into the wrestling Angle's book...the Olympic stuff is good...but he's a super WWF asskisser in the book, which you can understand I keep debating on whether I want to read Debiase's book or not...it's $10.99 at Borders, but it looks like a real quick read. I will DEFINTLY buy Heenan's book when it comes out this September
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted July 28, 2002 Report Posted July 28, 2002 I'm going to buy Heenans book as well... I saw the DiBiase book today...and flipping through it, it didn't appeal to me all that much. Perhaps after I get through the stuff I just bought I'll give it a look.

I picked it up at Border's for the same price it's a decent read if you like wrestling but the religion parts will bore you but it's a great book if you like religion and wrestling. There are some decent stories on the old UWF and his early WWF run but he pretty much skims through 89-93. I'd give it a mild recommendation
