Join me, as I look through all of my old tapes...

Over the years, since 1993, me and my brother used to tape about every show. From RAW to Nitro to EVERY WWF/WCW PPV up untill 2000. The problem, is that we never really labled ANY of the tapes, lol, so I am going to start sitting down and go through a bunch of them. I thought, you know, this could bring back some cool ass memories, so why not share with everyone, so that brings me to this thread...

...as I go through them, I'll share what I find, and we can just talk about it, no big whoop. :D :D :D Anyhow, let me put the first tape in, and we have...

...a RAW from Bingo City! Ah yes, the great days of RAW is Bingo. I used to love these shows, and it's DAMN amazing how things have changed just since 1993/1994. The first match I see now is none other than the 1-2-3 Kid Vs. Bam Bam Bigelow! You know, he used to be rather kick ass, I wish he could go back to being like this.

Sincerely,

...Downhome...

Holy crap was the "Kid" over back then. EVERYONE is practicly yelling 1-2-3, 1-2-3, 1-2-3! I almost forgot about that, heh. And damnit to hell, Bam Bam just did one of the greatest Inzuguri (sp?) kicks I've ever seen in my life.

I started doing the same thing back in June. I've gone through about 400 tapes so far with piles left. I've found stuff as far back as '87 with the original Slammys. Oh well, back to the 300 left to go. :(

Damn man, you must have a room-o-wrestling to hold all of that.

Tapes everywhere, racks, floor, under the bed and all around. At least I'll have room for them after the basement gets finished with nice new shelves.

Whoa, it's like were twins, Grenouille...

Seriously, I have like 500+ tapes all over my room (next to TV, under bed, in closet, etc.) my mom hates it but I tell her not to touch it cause I made special piles (RAW pile, Nitro pile, etc.) BTW, I did build shelves for them after the amount of tapes got overwhelming

Then, out of frustration, she cleans my room and it's back to scratch...for the past 3 summers I've been trying to separate my tapes by watching them then labeling them...I still haven't finished and probably won't before college starts again for me on August 26th.

Anyway, for Downhome, I just saw a kick-ass Nitro from Feb-March 99:

-Kidman beats Psychosis in 9:00 (**1/4) KICK ASS MATCH! (BTW, I'm very strict with ratings...TV and PPV get the same treatment...people seem more generous towards TV matches...when they think RAW has *** matches...dream on! 5 minutes of Booker/Benoit is still just *)

-Rey Jr. beats Bam Bam Bigelow in 9:17 (*1/2) Bigelow destroys Rey with some hard-hitting moves until Rey gets the upset rollup...good match.

-Chris Benoit beat Bret Hart by DQ in 16:28 (***3/4) THIS IS WHY I MISS NITRO!!! Absolutely beautiful match...finish comes when Bret refuses to release the sharpshooter while Benoit had grabbed the ropes.

-Goldberg/Rick Steiner beats Scott Steiner/Bagwell in 10:53 (*1/2) Another good match...very very good crowd (all night actually but for this one everyone was standing and yelling) Bagwell's return match from his neck injury and he wrestled great (like he still gave a damn)

I'm sure there was more but some weeks TSN used to show only two hours instead of three due to time constraints...that was a good thing, look what I was left with!!! When they had to, TSN always used to cut out the crap...they knew what the fans wanted!
