Guest SmarkySmark Report post Posted February 21, 2002 I loved Jericho's WCW work as a heel. He's starting to show signs of his old stuff lately, but what were your favorite Jericho moments in WCW? Mine are: 1004 holds Introducing the Cruiserweight Battle Royal Participants His fued with Malenko Greenberg The WCW rule book from the Congressional Library (I think that's where he got it)

Guest Tony149 Report post Posted February 21, 2002 I liked all of Jericho's stuff as a heel in WCW. Here's some of the stuff I can remember. Jericho being the ring announcer and making hilarious comments introducing the guys in the Crusierweight Battle Royal. His feud with Dean Malenko. The loop-holes he used to keep the Crusierweight Title. Going to Washington D.C. standing in front of the White House (I think) to meet Congress (I think) to have a match ruling change, The stuff with Greenberg. Guest Some Guy Report post Posted February 21, 2002 # 403 Armbar, # 789 Armbar etc... I thought Ralphus was funny with Jericho during the Saturn feud.
Guest HopeSpot Report post Posted February 21, 2002 His match with Raven at Havoc 98. Extremely well worked, unreal build, alot of cool stuff.
Guest arejay Report post Posted February 21, 2002 The Congressional library skit cracked me up. The sight of him turning the pages of that thick book saying something along the lines of, 'There's got to be a section on WCW title belts here,' had me laughing my ass off. Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted February 21, 2002 Greenberg, all the way. Remember the Jericho 2 Greenberg 0 shirt that either him or Ralphus used to wear?
Guest Crasper Report post Posted February 21, 2002 All the above stuff is great. Some of his later WCW stuff when he was starting to get burried was also pretty good as well. Always remember a funny little skit with Kanyon just prior to Halloween Havoc 98. He was also good in the 99 US Title tournament. His "think of the children" line he used on Flair to get back in (and subsequently get handed his ass by Scott Steiner) was funny. In the ring, his feud with Malenko was awesome. Imagine a cruiserweight feud in the WWF now creating such interest- the roof almost blowing off when Malenko beat Jericho at Slamboree 98, the confrontation in the Georgia Dome on Nitro, and the final match in the Alomo Dome. All fantastic.
Guest TheDames7 Report post Posted February 21, 2002 Those are all great, and I remember all of them. Other than those, the Conspiracy Victim promos that he had with JJ Dillon were great. Wrestling wise, the thing I miss about Jericho was the REAL Lion Tamer, where he would sit back on their neck, not the modified Boston Crab that its turned into now. Can you guys think of another Cruiserweight champ that went so far? Dames
Guest Army Eye Report post Posted February 21, 2002 The 1004 holds gimmick may have been the best. He even had the tights with the '1004' on them. Jericho sitting in the ring reading off the list ("157: arrrrrrmbar") was absolutely priceless. Malenko had to be loving the whole thing, he was a monster face when he came back. His ring intros of the Cruiserweight Battle Royal were GREAT! If anyone has that transcribed, post it! When he did the mock Goldberg entrance, with him and Ralphus getting lost backstage. I was dying. His heel turn was great too. He was throwing tantrums every week and one week he really snapped and beat up Dave Penzer. The next week he gives a heartfelt apology, displays the new suit he's bought for Penzer, only to end up beating him up AGAIN. The names he'd come up with: Ron Mysterio, Deano Machino, Greenberg, Jojo Dillon, Prince Nakamaki.. and my favorite, Gene Mean
Guest Jericholic82 Report post Posted February 21, 2002 For you here is the official transcript from the Slamboree 98 battle royal intros straight from the "Chris Jericho Conspiracy Theory" website: http://members.aol.com/chepstild/ Transcript of Chris Jericho's Introductions to the Cruiserweight Battle Royale at Slamboree '98 DAVE PENZER: "Ladies and Gentlemen, as Slamboree continues, this is the Cruiserweight Battle Royale, the winner to face Chris Jericho tonight. In this contest wrestlers can be eliminated by either pin fall or when their feet touch the ringside floor. And ladies and gentlemen, here are the participants..." CHRIS JERICHO: "Hold on just one second here, David Penzer you unintelligible moronic high voiced dweeb! You know nothing about the sport of pro wrestling and you know nothing about these fine competitors coming out today. So I'm gonna do all the Jerichoholics a great favor. I'm gonna introduce all of the contestants in the cruiserweight battle royale. Let's face it, one of these fine contestants will get a chance at the cruiserweight belt, (they'll never win it), but tonight you're gonna see a great match from a great competitor. Let's get down to the list here..." "Coming out first from (?)(Sounds like Sunchimilko) Mexico, you'll notice his hat NEVER comes off, the master of trick-track, the master of Da Funk, he is Super Calo! Look at those moves ladies and gentlemen. You got about a one in ten chance of winning, maybe." "Next, from El Paso, Mexico, this guy used to be a great bar tender, but it hasn't translated into his wrestling skills, he is the scourge of the illustrious Guerrero family, he is Chavo Guerrero Jr. maybe a two in ten chance of winning." "Coming out next, from Mexico, this is a rags to riches story, from selling chimichangas on the streets to WCW is Ciclope!" "Then we got Damien. He can't afford a mask, he's using paint, but sooner or later he's gonna buy a mask, I'm guaranteein' you that." "Here we go, the winner of the Lou Ferrigno look alike contest, this guy is also from Mexico, El Dandy." "Coming out next is the (?), feather weight pacer(?) champion, El Grillo." "Now this guy pulled up in a nice rusted out '68 El Camino Chevy, he's the ugliest man in our sport today, he's the illustrious Quazijuice Skelerra." "A former champion in many countries, he's gonna rock rock til he drops, rock rock never stop, Marty Jannetty, ladies and gentlemen." "Coming up next from Allentown, PA. He's a lost and lonely soul, his name is Kidman. And Kidman, I've got some Calamine lotion for you after the show!" "This guy's the true shooter of WCW, does he have a chance? No, zero chance, no way, he's Evan Courageous, ladies and gents." "Oh yeah, straight from Minneapolis, Minnesota, I want my Lover Boy tape back, Lenny Lane!" "And of course we've got Psychosis, he's got a lot of hubcaps in his collection, if you need one, he'll procure one for you after the show." "This guy is Silver King, if he wins twelve more matches he'll be upgraded to Golden King." "This guy is Johnny Sinjer? Johnny SSS.... Johnny Swinger? You ever heard of this guy? I haven't. Zero out of ten chance in winning! No chance." "And last but not least, representing Villanos 1 through 62, from the Villano family, he is Villano IV." "Those are your contestants in tonight's battle royale, I'm going in the back for a coffee cause none of these guys will ever ever beat me for my belt!" Guest Drury37 Report post Posted February 22, 2002 I agree with you Dreamer,I think he was better in WCW. -This is a joke I made up(you guys will either love me or hate me after this one) Q-In crayola town there was a wrestling match between red(heel)and blue(face).Red had a much better workrate than blue but green(fan) liked blue better. Why do you think he liked blue better? A-Because he was a MARKer!!! Thanks.

Guest razazteca Report post Posted February 22, 2002 I remember Jericho introducing a masked Dean Malenko as "Da Great Pumkin....watch out Charlie Brown!"
Guest The Mountie Report post Posted February 22, 2002 I loved the skit from just after he lost the TV belt to Konnan, in which he used a whiteboard and some props to show how K-Dogg cheated to win. I especially liked the part when Jericho asks Ralphus for the marker: “RALPHUS!!! PENNNNNNN!!! NOWWWWWWW!!!”
Guest Drury37 Report post Posted February 22, 2002 I seriously think Jericho was better in WCW than he is in the WWF. Thanks.
Guest goodhelmet Report post Posted February 23, 2002 "I seriously think Jericho was better in WCW than he is in the WWF." In terms of interviews and angles I agree. But his wrestling has been off the hook in the WWF. Him and Benoit have had some classics. Him and Rock brought the goods.I loved the Jericho-RVD match. As far as my favorite WCW moment. No question it's the introduction of the cruiser battle royal. That was my favorite Jericho moment EVER with his unified title win second.
Guest imajackoff? Report post Posted February 25, 2002 I remember the time he was trying weasel out of a cruiserweight title match with Prince Iakeia. He brought out a bathroom scale and made weigh in. classic.
Guest the 1inch punch Report post Posted February 25, 2002 Bobby Heenan was right, Jericho cant do the Winnipeg Whale Drop (Dont ask) Favourite Jericho thing, the skit where he would be thrown outside, pretend to be dead, then quickly stick his head up to check he was been counted out, before going back to being dead

Guest areacode212 Report post Posted February 27, 2002 I liked time Nitro was being broadcast from Toronto, when he came out and started talking about how great the city was. Then turned on it.
Guest Jericholic82 Report post Posted February 27, 2002 Yea I loved that promo after he lost the TV title. He said that Konnan had hit him with a chair, brass knux, a loaded something or other and put his feet on the ropes but he still kicked out at two. That was funny and then he acted it out with that guy dressed as Konnan too sweet. Then he feuded with Saturn and they had the loser weras a dress match and Saturn had to wear one. Before the match, Jericho on Nitro or Thunder had Ralphus come out wearing a dress and earings and model. That had me rolling on the floor. Great Memories: Ciclope unmasking to reveal Dean The pop when Jericho Lost Rey Misterio returning to defeat Chris The Library skits Jericho's dad coming out on Thunder and telling him to act like a man The Dean Picture where he defaced it and wrote I am a jericholic and a heart tatoo with dad on it. and then he beat up Dean's brother with the fake leg. He played such a great a-hole I was just becoming a smark doing his 98 run and he was the first heel that I actually liked, but despite his funny act, I wanted to see him lose after a while and was excited when Dean returned. what a great feud. it's too bad it was overshadowed by nWo stuff and goldberg refusing to face him
