Guest MrRant Posted July 28, 2002 Report Posted July 28, 2002 In this thread lets keep it to movies that were HORRIDLY bad from the original. No Rush Hour 2 wasn't as funny as Rush Hour 1 or something like that where its only slightly worse... I'm talking on the scale of Beastmaster vs. Beastmaster 2. I would also put Iron Eagle 2, 3, 4 as REALLY bad sequels.. and each got consecutivly worse.
Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Posted July 28, 2002 Report Posted July 28, 2002 Ahhhhhhhhh. Speed-2. The-Movie-is-the-Devil. Anyway....... Speed-2 Urban-Legends:Final-Cut I'm-trying-to-think. What-else? I-know-I-have-some-more.Once-people start-replying,I'll-remember.
Guest Daredevil21 Posted July 28, 2002 Report Posted July 28, 2002 Technically, you could say Batman Forever and Batman & Robin. To this day, I can't get over what damage they did to the Batman movie franchise. Psycho 2 and all the ones that followed (I think they made a 4th or 5th one) is a definate, and something that I can't imagine ever wanting to do in the first place. Return to Oz seems to have gotten mixed reviews from what I've seen, but I still hate it, cause it dares to tamper with a classic. The third Omen was also god-awful.
Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Posted July 28, 2002 Report Posted July 28, 2002 Batman-And-Robin-is-the-Devil. Damn-George-Clooney.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted July 28, 2002 Report Posted July 28, 2002 HEY! Blame Shumacher not Clooney. Of all the things that are wrong with that shitty movie...there are things WAY WAY higher on the list than Clooney. The Script The Direction Arnold Batgirl's West Hollywood accent when she is supposed to have just come from England... In fact...the best thing about that movie is the Bruce Wayne/Alfred relationship.
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Posted July 28, 2002 Report Posted July 28, 2002 I can sum up possibly the 2 worst sequels of the common mainstream film era, which is the inclusion of films of the past decade: THE CROW: CITY OF ANGELS ALIEN RESURRECTION
Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Posted July 28, 2002 Report Posted July 28, 2002 The-Crow:City-Of-Angels. Excuse-me-for-a-second-but..... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. What-a-joke. Vincent-Perez-sucks.
Guest bob_barron Posted July 28, 2002 Report Posted July 28, 2002 Batman and Robin-ewwwwwwwww I actually loved Return to Oz- that was a good flick
Guest cabbageboy Posted July 28, 2002 Report Posted July 28, 2002 I have to concur with that Crow City of Angels remark. That movie sucked! I love the original though. I might get flamed on here for this but I thought Batman Forever was the 2nd best one with only the first being better. Batman Returns was the one I thought was really horrible. At least Batman and Robin has some camp value. B. Returns is dark, unpleasant, and made no sense.
Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Posted July 28, 2002 Report Posted July 28, 2002 Join-the-Club. I've-never-liked-Batman-Returns-myself. It-seemed-very-boring-to-me.And-their was-something-about-Devito-and-Phiffer as-Villians-that-I-never-liked. The-only-good-thing-about-Batman Returns-was-Michael-Keatom's-return as-Batman.
Guest J*ingus Posted July 28, 2002 Report Posted July 28, 2002 Me three, I never liked Batman Returns either. Batman Forever was alright, but Batman & Robin was one of the worst movies I've ever seen. I am almost alone in liking Alien 3, but dear lord I hated Alien Resurrection. It was made even worse by coming from such a good director, but talk about your styles clash: the guy who made City of Lost Children and Amelie wouldn't be my first choice to helm the next Aliens flick. (Hey, Guillermo Del Toro, come over here, we got a job for you.) And I fully agree with Crow: City of Angels, Exorcist 2, and Speed 2. God, they sucked. But seriously, how mind-numbingly awful must Urban Legends 2 must've been for it to have been noticeably worse than the godawful original? Every Halloween movie after the first one, except for moments of parts 4 and 7, were completely worthless. Also, allow me to submit Blair Witch 2: Book of Shadows in the category of "movie that is not only not very good, but completely invalidates the whole idea of the first film". Finally, shame on you all for not yet mentioning... (shudder) Highlander 2: The Quickening.
Guest Kingpk Posted July 28, 2002 Report Posted July 28, 2002 Airplane 2: The Sequel Naked Gun 3 1/3: The Smell of Fear TNMT III (Although II was pretty good) The Lost World: Jurassic Park
Guest IDrinkRatsMilk Posted July 28, 2002 Report Posted July 28, 2002 I liked Naked Gun 33 1/3... it was my least favorite of the three, but still pretty good, I think. anyway, Friday the 13th 5 Texas Chainsaw Massacre 4 all the Hellraiser sequels and the worst of the worst, Predator 2
Guest C.H.U.D. Posted July 28, 2002 Report Posted July 28, 2002 Speed 2 Crow: City of Angels Batman & Robin Superman IV Return to Oz, Alien: Resurrection & Predator 2 were all very enjoyable. Well, to me anyway.
Guest redbaron51 Posted July 28, 2002 Report Posted July 28, 2002 Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls Indiana Jones: Temple of Doom (horrible horrible movie) Terminator 2 Poltergeist 2
Guest Some Guy Posted July 28, 2002 Report Posted July 28, 2002 Don't dis Temple of Doom buddy! That movies owns all. actuall I used to watch that movie over and over as a kid and still like it for that reason. Ace Ventura 2 was no where near as funny as the first. Rambo 2 wasn't as a good as First Blood although I like all three. Lethal Weapon 3 isn't as good as the first 2 or 4.

Guest Smues Posted July 28, 2002 Report Posted July 28, 2002 Highlander 2: The quickening Mortal Kombat 2: annilation
Guest redbaron51 Posted July 28, 2002 Report Posted July 28, 2002 how dumb am I to forget Mortal Kombat 2, that was sure cheese
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Posted July 28, 2002 Report Posted July 28, 2002 redbaron, my opinion of you is forever jaded...YOU DISSED INDIANA JONES AND THE TEMPLE OF DOOM AND TERMINATOR 2: JUDGEMENT DAY~!~ DIE~!~
Guest Black Lushus Posted July 29, 2002 Report Posted July 29, 2002 god i agree with Corey here, Temple Of Doom may have been the weakest of the Indiana Jones movies, but it's Indiana FN Jones, it all kicks ass...T2 was definently a great movie, i gotta question any one's sanity on dissing that one...Airplane 2 was great as well... Universal Soldier: The Return...now THAT movies sucks my taint!
Guest evenflowDDT Posted July 29, 2002 Report Posted July 29, 2002 Don't dis Temple of Doom buddy! That movies owns all. actuall I used to watch that movie over and over as a kid and still like it for that reason. Now, while I don't think it was a truly truly super bad movie, that kid was ANNOYING! Anyway... House Party 4, Curse of the Puppetmaster, Gator Bait 2, Octopus 2, or Silent Night, Deadly Night 2 anyone?
Guest MrRant Posted July 29, 2002 Report Posted July 29, 2002 And to think we left out Caged Heat 2. I mean.. Caged Heat 1 blew but Jesus Caged Heat 2 sucked monkey balls.
Guest evenflowDDT Posted July 29, 2002 Report Posted July 29, 2002 There's a Caged Heat 2?! I had that exact same reaction upon discovering Mimic 2 and Octopus 2. In USA/direct-to-video creature feature departments, there are also supposed to be sequels to Crocodile and Spiders hitting video shelves later this year...
Guest Goodear Posted July 29, 2002 Report Posted July 29, 2002 Godfather III - Once the focus gets off Michael and mob stuff and onto his daughter and her wacky COUSIN SEX and his son and his LOVE OF OPERA, it just sucks the joy out of an otherwise brilliant series. Highlander II: The Quickening Alien3 Scream 2
Guest Dr. Wrestlingphysics Posted July 29, 2002 Report Posted July 29, 2002 I immedeatly thought of Highlander 2, but as I hadn't seen it in years, I didn't post in case I had convinced myself it was worse than it was. I'm glad to see others share my opinion on a very crappy film!
Guest Kahran Ramsus Posted July 29, 2002 Report Posted July 29, 2002 Now, while I don't think it was a truly truly super bad movie, that kid was ANNOYING! Short Round was the best part of the movie. Temple of Doom is a good film, although it is the weakest of the three.
Guest CanadianChris Posted July 29, 2002 Report Posted July 29, 2002 You missed two excruciatingly bad ones... Caddyshack 2 Grease 2
