Guest gangsteruwa Report post Posted July 28, 2002 I've heard some people call it a hangman's ddt and I have heard others call it a Gonso Bomb. What exactly is the move in the following animated gif. Are they just different names for the same move? Also what match is that from? I know that it is Kawada vs. Misawa, but what is the date of that match? Thanks for your help. Guest Dace59 Report post Posted July 28, 2002 Gonso is a Muppets character. The Hangman's DDT is a highly incorrect game name for the move in the gif. The GANSO bomb is an incorrect call for the move in that gif. It was a Jumping Kneeling Vertical Sheer Drop Powerbomb. Most of the internet will miscall it as a "Ganso" Bomb. It came from a counter spot, Powerbomb, counterd into a rana, counter back into a powerbomb (but due to Kawada's broken arm he couldn't deadlift Misawa so it had to be changed to that move) A real/true Ganso Bomb is Lou Thesz's first powerbomb (as Ganso means origonal) It's a throwing piledriver (pick them up for a piledriver and throw them down)
Guest gangsteruwa Report post Posted July 28, 2002 Gonso, hahaha. I knew it looked wrong when I wrote it. Now I feel stupid. Anyway, thanks for the help. Much appreciated.

Guest Coffin Surfer Report post Posted July 28, 2002 Cool, I've been wanting to put the "Ganso Bomb" spot in my sig forever now, but I couldn't find it. Thanks alot. I believe the match is 1/24/99 if I'am not mistaken. As usual Dace is right. But I call it the Ganso Bomb, since that's what it became known as, and it sure as hell is alot easier to say. However it's not completely incorrect since Kawada's move was the first one called a Ganso Bomb. But translated it does mean Original Bomb, and it's not Lou Thez's Original Powerbomb "Throwing Piledriver".
Guest gangsteruwa Report post Posted July 28, 2002 No problem. Anything I can do to help. Upon further research I discovered this clip occured in a match on 1/22/99. That was also the first time Kawada did this move (whatever one wants to call it, just not the gOnso bomb).
