Guest Kingpk Posted September 17, 2002 Report Posted September 17, 2002 Which teams aren't active? I guess only two: Power&Glory (last activity: August 7) Bama Roughnecks (last activity: September 1)
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted September 17, 2002 Report Posted September 17, 2002 Im depressed. The Skins got killed. All four of my fantasy teams lost, and Im going to be in last place in this one. It doesn't look too good for next week, with half of my players on BYE week. Depressing.. Packers might be minus RB Green against Lions Sept. 16, 2002 SportsLine.com wire reports GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Green Bay offensive lineman Mark Tauscher will be out up to eight weeks with a knee injury and Ahman Green, the NFC's leading rusher, could also miss the Packers' game Sunday at Detroit. Tauscher partially tore a ligament in his right knee in Sunday's loss at New Orleans. Tauscher, who could have arthroscopic surgery Tuesday, will be replaced at right tackle by Earl Dotson. Green, who has 236 yards rushing this season, strained his quad tendon and his knee flared up during the loss to the Saints. Packers coach Mike Sherman said Monday he was unsure if Green could play against the Lions, and if he can't, Rondell Mealey will make his first NFL start. The Packers are confident Dotson, who started at right tackle from 1995-99, can be a competent replacement for Tauscher. The question is whether Dotson's chronically injured back can hold up. "That is a concern," Sherman said. "He came out of this game good and that's all I can judge it by. We have to be careful what we ask him to do in practice." With center Frank Winters already playing for Mike Flanagan (broken thumb), Dotson is the line's most-experienced backup. "I was told I would be an insurance policy and I guess it's time to cash it in," Dotson said. AP NEWS The Associated Press News Service Hmm, so Mealy starts against the Detroit Lions. I think I just got a break. I mean, Green Bay wouldn't be stupid enough to start Ahman Green in a sure to be easily won game over the Lions, and risk further injury, would they?
Guest converge241 Posted September 17, 2002 Report Posted September 17, 2002 when will the contraction draft begin??
Guest hardyz1 Posted September 17, 2002 Report Posted September 17, 2002 You gotta be kidding me. I lost by 0.71. Damn! At least I'm the top 1-1 team right now.
Guest razazteca Posted September 17, 2002 Report Posted September 17, 2002 well that sucks, week 3 your against me and I am sure the score is not going to be that close. Fighting Crackers vs Texano Rudos in a desperate move I picked up Gus Furrote, and would mark out if he threw a TD to TJ Housealkjdfal. It could be close as it is a bad week for me, being without the QB demigod Gannon, and it looks like the injury bug hit you but really did you expect Curtis Martin to produce? If it is close you might win by your QB or I could win by the foot of the kicker and Giant Defense.
Guest converge241 Posted September 17, 2002 Report Posted September 17, 2002 boy are we all psyched about the beginning of the bye weeks??? i can hardly wait to start 4ths stringers!!!
Guest razazteca Posted September 17, 2002 Report Posted September 17, 2002 its time to get some production out of the kick return specialist well at least the Giants get an easy week against the Seahawks, maybe this is the week Ron Dayne can get a TD
Guest converge241 Posted September 17, 2002 Report Posted September 17, 2002 against the sea defense? its a lock!!
Guest cartman Posted September 17, 2002 Report Posted September 17, 2002 If Thomas Jones can run for 170 yards against the Sea D...ANYONE can!
Guest razazteca Posted September 17, 2002 Report Posted September 17, 2002 but Tiki Barber is the #1 RB for the Giants even though he is not 100% healthy. Ron Dayne is more less the FB or plays whenever Tiki wants to rest. anyway I am expecting at least Dayne will produce more than Week 2, and that the 3 Giants that I have on my team, at least one of them will get a TD.
Guest hardyz1 Posted September 18, 2002 Report Posted September 18, 2002 I knew Curtis wouldn't do much, but I thought he would get at least a tad more than 5 damn yards.
Guest jimmy no nose Posted September 19, 2002 Report Posted September 19, 2002 I'm glad giving up yardage on defense doesn't have an impact on scores because my D is Seattle. They've been getting a decent 3 or 4 points the first two weeks.
Guest razazteca Posted September 20, 2002 Report Posted September 20, 2002 yeah thats why I picked up the Dallas Defense off waivers. the way the league is its puts importance on QBs & WRs more than anything else. If Defense mattered more, than the Tampa Bay and New England team defenses would put up 15 pts every game
Guest Chuck Woolery Posted September 21, 2002 Report Posted September 21, 2002 Mike has a question for all of you fine football-loving fellows. How would you guys respond to a fantasy hockey league?
Guest El Satanico Posted September 21, 2002 Report Posted September 21, 2002 I know nothing about NHL players other then the big names so i'd suck, therefore i'd have very little interest.
Guest jimmy no nose Posted September 22, 2002 Report Posted September 22, 2002 I know nothing about NHL players other then the big names so i'd suck, therefore i'd have very little interest. My thoughts exactly.
Guest The Man in Blak Posted September 22, 2002 Report Posted September 22, 2002 In other news, I'm taking volunteers for a Butch Davis Death Squadron - we're meeting in the Dodge Caravan out in front of Walgreens. ... Gawd damn Quarterback controversy.
Guest MrRant Posted September 22, 2002 Report Posted September 22, 2002 In other news, I'm taking volunteers for a Butch Davis Death Squadron - we're meeting in the Dodge Caravan out in front of Walgreens. ... Gawd damn Quarterback controversy. Just because I hate the Browns I will assist you.
Guest The Man in Blak Posted September 22, 2002 Report Posted September 22, 2002 Good man. Grab a gun and wrap that towel around your head. I mean, really - if Couch is healthy, and you've went out of your way to name him an offensive captain for the upcoming game anyway, why in the world even bother with the mystery flirtation of keeping Kelly Holcomb in?

I mean, really - if Couch is healthy, and you've went out of your way to name him an offensive captain for the upcoming game anyway, why in the world even bother with the mystery flirtation of keeping Kelly Holcomb in? Because all NFL coaches are smarter than us remember?
Guest The Man in Blak Posted September 22, 2002 Report Posted September 22, 2002 Even Marty Mornhinweg?
Guest MrRant Posted September 22, 2002 Report Posted September 22, 2002 Well I'm not coaching in Detroit so I guess so.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted September 22, 2002 Report Posted September 22, 2002 Im having fun here. My backup kicker (Kasay) could be out for the season so I had to dump him. Ahman Green could be out for a couple weeks, but at least for this week I have the GB starter against the lions, however they signed some nobody that could take his place if Green's injury keeps him out any more games cause they aren't so sure about Mealey. Oh, and Couch is definitely starting in Cleveland..
Guest jimmy no nose Posted September 22, 2002 Report Posted September 22, 2002 Charlie Garner isnt playing this week, so my running backs are Michael Bennett and Richie Anderson. This is not going to be good.
Guest Kingpk Posted September 22, 2002 Report Posted September 22, 2002 ::Looks at Lunatics R Us lineup:: ::Looks at own:: ::Looks a mile away:: Hey look, an ass kicking!
Guest razazteca Posted September 22, 2002 Report Posted September 22, 2002 Eagles vs Cowboys is a game with a lot of trick plays but where the F is Darnay Scott? well at least the Defense and Kicker will do good for me on my bye week of death.
Guest Kingpk Posted September 22, 2002 Report Posted September 22, 2002 Damn, Troy Brown is having a career day right now. And 4 TDs for Brady!
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted September 22, 2002 Report Posted September 22, 2002 My sig conveyed my feelings on how I was going to do this week.
Guest The Man in Blak Posted September 22, 2002 Report Posted September 22, 2002 *throws clipboard into the ground* DAMMIT. What in the fuck is in the water at Tennesee to let Couch have a frickin' career day like that? Geezus. Barring any miracle performances from T.O. or Griese, that pretty much seals my day.
