Guest y2jailbait Posted August 9, 2002 Report Posted August 9, 2002 Good point, but man, he looked rather sharp tonight.
Guest Kingpk Posted August 11, 2002 Report Posted August 11, 2002 Man, Deion Branch looked pretty good for the Pats tonight.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted August 11, 2002 Report Posted August 11, 2002 Ah..The Skins Defense was suspect, but they still scored 37 points, and beat Carolina 37-30. Deshaun Foster is a S T U D. 61 yard TD for the Panthers. I got him in 1 league Im in, too bad its not the Smart Marks league..
Guest The Man in Blak Posted August 11, 2002 Report Posted August 11, 2002 I was really frustrated - after spending a week and a half just hawking over the available players on Yahoo three times a day for DeShaun Foster...I finally find him and I lose the claim for him. PLEH, I say...PLEH.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted August 11, 2002 Report Posted August 11, 2002 In my other league, I got both Foster and Stallworth off waivers, so somehow I got lucky. Maybe its because Stallworths hurt right now, but hopefully he won't be hurt in a month. And I needed foster because my RB situation is very bad (I have Allen (Houston) and Jones (Arizona) on that team, both are starters with very little if any competition for the job, but both seem to be blowing it early on in camps.
Guest The Man in Blak Posted August 11, 2002 Report Posted August 11, 2002 Yeah, ironically, I was trying to shore up my RB situation because I too have James Allen...but instead, I ended up picking up Donte Stallworth, who probably won't be worth a hill of beans until week 5.
Guest MrRant Posted August 11, 2002 Report Posted August 11, 2002 I need a freaking RB. I have like James Stewart and KiJana Carter. Feel the joy. I am loaded on WR though. And I have Ken Dilger that I would be willing to part with since I picked up Jeremy Shockey.
Guest razazteca Posted August 12, 2002 Report Posted August 12, 2002 I also have a problem with WRs my second best receiver has 60 receptions......Cory Schlinger from the Lions I only have one legit starting WR while the rest are either the 2nd option or the 3rd down specialist.
Guest Kingpk Posted August 12, 2002 Report Posted August 12, 2002 Trade Update Satanico's Minions send: Davenport, Najeh (RB-GB) McGee, Tony (TE-Dal) Ward, Hines (WR-Pit) to Metaluna Mutants for: Davis, Terrell (RB-Den) Graham, Daniel (TE-NE) Ismail, Raghib (WR-Dal)
Guest converge241 Posted August 12, 2002 Report Posted August 12, 2002 damn dilfer, at least he shouldnt be out for that long into the season (and hes not my starter)
Guest El Satanico Posted August 12, 2002 Report Posted August 12, 2002 I really didn't want to get Terrell Davis. I'm desperate for a decent #2 rb and he was the only tradable guy i could find on the teams that needed a WR so I had to take the gamble.
Guest The Man in Blak Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 Something tells me that Ismail may be the better pickup anyway, however fragile Terrell may be.
Guest razazteca Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 Ismail, Raghib (WR-Dal) well it all depends on who the quarterback is and if Ismail can stay healthy.
Guest The Man in Blak Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 Well, I think it's almost a done deal that Quincy Carter is gonna be the man for now and, judging by the stats from his games towards the end of last year, both Ismail and Galloway will be happy to have him taking the snaps. And, in a totally unrelated note, I'm really kind of sick of seeing those damn news updates by my players and being unable to view them. If Yahoo News can't find that page for 45 players, then shut down the auto-linking script and FIX IT, gawd dammit.
Guest razazteca Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 lol you have too many rookies check out the other sports web sites for up to date news
Guest Kingpk Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 I go to the Sporting News fantasy site for my stuff, it's pretty good.
Guest razazteca Posted August 14, 2002 Report Posted August 14, 2002 I have no luck with WRs on my team, as they got it by the injury bug
Guest converge241 Posted August 19, 2002 Report Posted August 19, 2002 fanball is great. good chats too
Guest El Satanico Posted August 20, 2002 Report Posted August 20, 2002 God damnit. I just accidently approved a trade of Dilfer and Dominic Rhodes for Clinton Portis and Alex Van Pelt when i meant to reject it. It's the trade between Satanico's Minions(me) and Space Monkeys. So please whoever reads this protest this trade. If the owner of the Space Monkeys is reading this then please don't take the trade.
Guest razazteca Posted August 20, 2002 Report Posted August 20, 2002 so what is the problem? are you the one who is getting the 2 injuried guys?
Guest El Satanico Posted August 20, 2002 Report Posted August 20, 2002 Yes i'd be getting the injured guys. There's no way in hell i'd accept such a trade, but as i was going to hit reject i accidently clicked the accept button.
Guest converge241 Posted August 20, 2002 Report Posted August 20, 2002 hey satanico ill go reject it now .i figured you would know they were both injured but might take a chance on them dilfer should be back fairly early. i just sent a message to comish and did NOT hit ok.. yikes i bet your glad i read this before leaving work huh? actually i would have traded back if i saw you put a message right after.. you owe me!!! j/k but come to me with any unloads (especially cause i was trying to help you a little with some qb help)
Guest El Satanico Posted August 20, 2002 Report Posted August 20, 2002 Yes i'm very glad that you did. Yeah i figured you were just tossing trades around hoping one would take. Alright well thanks alot for not taking it. And i'll be sure to offer you something if i'm getting rid of anyone.
Guest Kingpk Posted August 21, 2002 Report Posted August 21, 2002 Man, guess I made that trade to get rid of Davis and Ismail at just the right time, huh?
Guest El Satanico Posted August 21, 2002 Report Posted August 21, 2002 Yes you did. But i think Ismail may have a decent year. I'm hoping that Daniel Graham has a good year too. I knew the risk going into the trade, but i was so desperate for a #2 back i had to take the risk.
Guest cartman Posted August 21, 2002 Report Posted August 21, 2002 didnt I just see that Ismail is done for the year? Ouch dude!
Guest Kingpk Posted August 21, 2002 Report Posted August 21, 2002 Yes you did. But i think Ismail may have a decent year. I'm hoping that Daniel Graham has a good year too. I knew the risk going into the trade, but i was so desperate for a #2 back i had to take the risk. Dude, Ismail's out for the season and I don't know if Graham will get many snaps behind Fauria.
Guest RhynoesRUs Posted August 21, 2002 Report Posted August 21, 2002 I don't post here much, but I am an avid visitor. Well, whatever I typed that for it is not the point, the point is I am here to extend an invitation to anyone still interested in joining a fantasy football league. I have a Sandbox.com league that still has a couple of spots open foranyone that would like to join. It is a 10 team, auto draft, "keeper" (so join if you wish to keep three players from the roster you receive and to use next season) league. If interested, go to Sandbox.com (link provided), register, and locate The ^v^-ANNUAL-^v^ 411Wrestling DdMFFFFL (which stands for "Dan da Mansion Fan Fantastic Fantasy Football League" if you must know) and join it with the password: thatisall. Any questions, problems, concerns? Email me at [email protected].

And, about Foster, I tried to claim him, too. Man, I wish I hadn't picked Lamar Smith.
