Guest LooseCannon Posted July 29, 2002 Report Posted July 29, 2002 I've met numerous people from rock bands I've loved and admired over the years, but it pains me to say that fucking shitty Fred Durst is THE most famous person I have ever met. I've met some of the Jaguar football players before, but none of them have the instant name recognition of Durst. Sigh... I've met a few people from bands that I've admired too, but yeah they don't have the instant name recognition. I suppose I've met some famous porn stars at various gentleman's clubs as well.
Guest Shaved Bear Posted July 29, 2002 Report Posted July 29, 2002 Bo Jackson. Prick. hey dont say that, you don't know the bo
Guest Retro Rob Posted July 29, 2002 Report Posted July 29, 2002 I'm going to shed more light onto when I met the Backstreet Boys. Well, I had to take my sister to get their autographs, and that's how I met them. They really, really smell. They smell? I guess from all the contact with pre-teen girls starting to go through puberty.
Guest HBK16 Posted July 29, 2002 Report Posted July 29, 2002 Well I kinda met Micheal Jackason. He was coming out of a bathroom in a Las Vegas Hotel. I forgot which one. But he came out and I said hi and he said hi. I said something else but he was in a hurry.

Guest bob_barron Posted July 29, 2002 Report Posted July 29, 2002 When you guys meet these guys are you geeky or are you cool? Like normally I'm cool, calm and collected and can talk to anyone but when I met Jerry Seinfeld I was such a huge geek. What made it funnier was that I had a black and white cookie in my backpack and I was actually at NBC that night to meet Julia Louis-Dreyfuss. Now that's crazy
Guest Zack Malibu Posted July 29, 2002 Report Posted July 29, 2002 Well, when I was a kid meeting these people, I'm sure I came off as just another geeky, starstruck youngster, but being 19-20 when I met the WWF/WCW guys, I was just like "Hey man, what's up, how are you, blah blah..." Actually carried a decent conversation with Crowbar for a few minutes about his old team with Ace Darling, etc.
Guest DJ Jeff Posted July 29, 2002 Report Posted July 29, 2002 When I met the Backstreet Boys I was all like, "Ooooooooooooooooooo, my heroes!"..... Okay, I never did say that. Seriously, though, I'm usually cool when I meet someone famous. When I met Austin, I was just like "Hey, man. What's up?"
Guest Ravenbomb Posted July 29, 2002 Report Posted July 29, 2002 I met: AEROSMITH~! (I was 12. It was really cool. got my picture taken with them, Joe Perry gave me a pic, Steve Tyler called me up to the group shot by name. ) Hardy Boyz and Lita (I was 14. Just an autograph signing thing at a haunted house) Ozzy Smith (I was 6. He filmed some informational movie at the ball park where I played little league. I hated little league) REO Speedwagon (I was 10. Autograph siging)
Guest Shaved Bear Posted July 30, 2002 Report Posted July 30, 2002 well my friend is friends with Jenna Jameson, she asked me if i wanted an autograph, and I was like, a blowjob would be fine...she didnt give it
Guest NazMistry Posted July 30, 2002 Report Posted July 30, 2002 When I met Hogan, I basically said: 'Hi, your Hulk Hogan.' Hogan said: 'Thats right kid' I said: 'You rule!' Hogan said: 'That's right kid' and laughed. He signed my cap and walked off. I stood still for about 5 minutes looking stunned, I was 11 at the time.
Guest EQ Posted July 30, 2002 Report Posted July 30, 2002 I didn't actually meet her, but I was at a social event where Vivica Fox was also in attendance. I felt awkward going to talk to her, b/c tons of people were asking for autographs, and I'm sure she hates that crap.

Guest treble charged Posted July 30, 2002 Report Posted July 30, 2002 I shook hands with former Canadian Prime Minister Kim Campbell. How many people here can say that they've met a world leader?
Guest bob_barron Posted July 30, 2002 Report Posted July 30, 2002 I met NY Senator Chuck Schumer- does that count? Add to the list- Marc Summers The Moondogs Jackie and Joe Namath
Guest treble charged Posted July 30, 2002 Report Posted July 30, 2002 A Senator is far from a world leader.
Guest LooseCannon Posted July 30, 2002 Report Posted July 30, 2002 So is a Canadian prime minister. Just kidding. I love Canadians.
Guest bob_barron Posted July 30, 2002 Report Posted July 30, 2002 I am a soon to be Canadian so that makes me something special. :-) Marc Summers is like Mr. Cool. I saw him walk by and I was like: Holy shit- DOUBLE DARE! So I run up to him and like I usually am not I was geeky as hell and was like: Double Dare is like ummm uhhh the greatest. I asked him what the difference between Family Double Dare, Double Dare, Double Dare 2000 and Super Double Dare. He told me they were all the same. Then he wrote- Take the physical challenge. Marc Summers. I think Marc Summers should count as a world leader
Guest swan Posted July 30, 2002 Report Posted July 30, 2002 Tanya Tucker I met Brock Lensar at a Gus Macker basketball tournament when he was in college.
Guest Kahran Ramsus Posted July 31, 2002 Report Posted July 31, 2002 I shook hands with former Canadian Prime Minister Kim Campbell. How many people here can say that they've met a world leader? Does Stockwell Day count? I've also met Brian Mulroney, back before he was public enemy #1 (84ish). Anyways, I would have to say George Steinbrenner.
Guest Marshall Posted July 31, 2002 Report Posted July 31, 2002 Penn and teller They signed their autographs and i asked them to put "to Paul" on it and the one that talks said is that your name. It really freaked me out. I just said yes and got the hell out of there.
Guest Insanityman Posted August 2, 2002 Report Posted August 2, 2002 Well... I've met an array of skateboarding stars since I go to nearly every demo I can. Jeff Jarret was a guest at an old basketball lower league and my friend and I were they before (he was water boy) so we got to hang out with him. I've meet the lakers girls when I was a little kid and still -barely- clung that little kid cuteness and got a smile or three. I've seen Bush and I didn't get to say anything... or really did I want to say anything to him anyways.
Guest TJH Posted August 2, 2002 Report Posted August 2, 2002 I've never met anyone famous, in a world context. I really suck.
Guest spiny norman Posted August 2, 2002 Report Posted August 2, 2002 I met a world leader, I met a world leader! Nay, TWO world leaders. Both ex-Australian Prime Ministers. Paul Keating-He was presenting my father an award. Bob Hawke-I can't even remember how we met! Plus, and this one kicks the arse of anyone else mentioned here: Paul McCartney-I play that bagpipes. He was coming for a concert. He has a song called Mull Of Kintyre which has bagpipes in it. I was asked, and thus played. He was such a nice guy! And Linda too. I think that's it, but I'm too tired to remember any more.
