This wasn't necessary.

Anyhoo, I use to bag groceries as well, and I prefered using paper over plastic. Paper's a lot more durable, and, as long as the customer is willing, you can stick a lot of shit in there. My only complaint about paper is those old farts who requested paper, double bagged, but packed light. That defeats the purpose of using paper, goddammit!

This is why some people request the granny sack. You get the durability of paper, with the handles of plastic. I hear some grocery stores have handles on their paper bags, but I've never seen any in this town.

I always perfer Plastic because then I can hold about 12 bags at once instead of making 3 trips with the paper.

Trader Joe's bags are large, paper, and have handles. They rock as far as it is possible for a disposable grocery bag to rock.

My first day working at the grocery store, I watched all the tapes on how to bag and watched some dude bag 2 or 3 customers... then it came my turn and while all I was taught was to bag paper OR bag plastic, I asked the lady what she wanted and she said........... Paper IN plastic.

My quick intro to the grocery world

Plastic...

Afterward I scoop my cats' shit/pee (clumping litter rocks) in it and take a quick trip to the dumpster.
