Guest wwF1587 Posted July 29, 2002 Report Posted July 29, 2002 Flame me all we want for the last poll I messed up but here is the REAL one so just shut up and choose. I sack groceries at a grocery store and me, I perfer plastic.
Guest Incandenza Posted July 29, 2002 Report Posted July 29, 2002 This wasn't necessary. Anyhoo, I use to bag groceries as well, and I prefered using paper over plastic. Paper's a lot more durable, and, as long as the customer is willing, you can stick a lot of shit in there. My only complaint about paper is those old farts who requested paper, double bagged, but packed light. That defeats the purpose of using paper, goddammit!
Guest Dr. Wrestlingphysics Posted July 29, 2002 Report Posted July 29, 2002 Plastic for me, you get handles and everything!
Guest Incandenza Posted July 29, 2002 Report Posted July 29, 2002 Plastic for me, you get handles and everything! This is why some people request the granny sack. You get the durability of paper, with the handles of plastic. I hear some grocery stores have handles on their paper bags, but I've never seen any in this town.
Guest Choken One Posted July 29, 2002 Report Posted July 29, 2002 I always perfer Plastic because then I can hold about 12 bags at once instead of making 3 trips with the paper.

They rock as far as it is possible for a disposable grocery bag to rock.
Guest HBK16 Posted July 30, 2002 Report Posted July 30, 2002 Plastic !!! Everytime I used paper, it ripped
Guest TUS_02 Posted July 30, 2002 Report Posted July 30, 2002 My first day working at the grocery store, I watched all the tapes on how to bag and watched some dude bag 2 or 3 customers... then it came my turn and while all I was taught was to bag paper OR bag plastic, I asked the lady what she wanted and she said........... Paper IN plastic. My quick intro to the grocery world
Guest kkktookmybabyaway Posted August 4, 2002 Report Posted August 4, 2002 Plastic... Afterward I scoop my cats' shit/pee (clumping litter rocks) in it and take a quick trip to the dumpster.
