Guest liberal Report post Posted July 30, 2002 Hi, I never really had access to WCW in 1998 (I live in england) and was really curious about what happened when warrior returned in 1997 /1998 i think it was. Can people tell me any details at all about this angle. why he came back. How they introduced him again. the matches he had, specifically against hulk hogan. what they had doing (someone mentioned dissapearing or something). what the hell was the story i heard about hogan having a vision of him in the mirror. really any details you have at all would be most welcome as i am really interested. Thank you for your time.
Guest HartFan86 Report post Posted July 30, 2002 They had one of the worst matches on WCW PPV history. Warrior used to escape and enter the ring in a trap door...the even ended up causing Bulldog's carrer to be shorten. You DONT want to know how fucking goofy/stupid/retarded/whatever the rest was. Guest Just call me Dan Report post Posted July 30, 2002 Yep. the ring filled with smoke and the announcer's nearly shit their pants every time. Warrior would appear and anyone in the ring would be knocked out cold. He and Hogan's match was pure shit and warrior lost after a botched fireball shooting attempt and of course a weak nWo beatdown. He tried to for a group called the oWn (One Warrior Nation) and had Hogan's lackey The Disciple as his only member. no one else ever joined, he never did anything to the nWo and he disappeared. The only kind of funny point of the whole thing was Hogan seeing Warrior the first time and mouthing I thought you were dead! Warrior cut weird promos that weren't worth listening to, looked to roided up for his own good and did nothing in the ring but appear from smoke and lay everyone out. WCW even went as far as to have this happen in their annual War Games where EVERY big name in the match was laid out from Sting, Nash, Luger, Giant, Goldberg, DDP, etc. All done in seconds. Smoke came, EVERYONE was out cold except Hogan. Ridiculous angle with an even more ridiculous blowoff. Wrestlecrap personified.
Guest liberal Report post Posted July 31, 2002 This is going to sound strabge but I really want to see some of this now. Can anyone tell me rough dates about when this happened. Also apart from wargames, what other PPVs was he at. THis seems like the funniest angle thatI've never seen.

Guest Incandenza Report post Posted July 31, 2002 I saw the Hogan/Warrior match recently, and I could sit here and tell you to avoid it, it's one of the worst matches ever, I gave it -***1/2 and that may've been generous, etc. but it will only make you want to see it more. So go ahead, check out Halloween Havoc '98 if you can find it. Just don't come back here and expect any sympathy for the trauma you suffered from watching it. You've been warned. Guest Shaved Bear Report post Posted July 31, 2002 i remember that angle...how come only the fans and hogan could see warrior in the mirror, yet he eluded Bischoff, and the comentators, who sawthe same thing that was seen on TV
Guest Incandenza Report post Posted July 31, 2002 Strange how 1998 WCW resembled 1990 WWF, what with the goofy storylines and all.
Guest crandamaniac Report post Posted July 31, 2002 i remember that angle...how come only the fans and hogan could see warrior in the mirror, yet he eluded Bischoff, and the comentators, who sawthe same thing that was seen on TV Didn't he appear in the Mirror, The announcers acted like they saw him, then they went to a commerical break and when they came back the announcers didn't see him? Guest Big McLargeHuge Report post Posted July 31, 2002 Yeah. He appeared in the mirror and was supposed to be only visible to Hogan, so Bischoff (who was with Hogan at the time) didn't see him, but EVERYONE else could, including the announcers, audience, Nitro Girls, hot dog vendors, etc. Didn't the trap door Warrior used to appear/disappear play apart in an injury to the British Bulldog and someone else I can't remember? Guest Dr. Wrestlingphysics Report post Posted July 31, 2002 Bulldog got injured after landing awkwardly on the trap door, and while he was out injured, he got sacked by post.
Guest nWoScorpion Report post Posted August 2, 2002 at Fall Brawl 1998, Hogan laid out everyone with something Stevie Ray snuck in the ring. Not Warrior. Warrior was the fault for Bulldog injuring his back. Halloween Havoc, oh god that match sucked. They TRIED redoing their WM 6 match but of course couldn't. Warrior no sold more then hogan. Hogan botched a fireball. And Warrior lost to a Horace Hogan chairshot. Then they tried to burn him. The End.
Guest DEEP THOUGHT Report post Posted August 5, 2002 Was the Warrior's match vs. Hogan at Halloween Havoc '98 his only WCW match ever? Did he ever appear in WCW again after that match?
Guest nWoScorpion Report post Posted August 6, 2002 Like people said (welkl, kinda) he was part of the triple threat War Game sin 98 (WCW vs. nwo hollywood vs. wolfpac)
Guest kingkamala Report post Posted August 6, 2002 Was the Warrior's match vs. Hogan at Halloween Havoc '98 his only WCW match ever? Did he ever appear in WCW again after that match? No but he did fight on Nitro the week before Halloween Havoc teaming up with Sting against Hollywood Hogan and Randy Savage, it was a great night The Bladerunners reunite! Guest GeneMean Report post Posted August 6, 2002 Did he even get in the ring during that tag-match? I seem to remember being really really let down. The only redeeming thing to happen in that stupid angle was when Hogan busted his nephew's head open with the chair. He's cutting a promo on how he's gonna take warrior out while Horace is bleeding BIG TIME in the ring. You can see Big Show joking with someone about how much blood is rolling out of that guy's head.
