Guest VerbalKint Posted February 21, 2002 Report Posted February 21, 2002 What is your favorite Oliver Stone Movie?
Guest Army Eye Posted February 21, 2002 Report Posted February 21, 2002 I'm a Platoon guy. JFK was really good too...
Guest J*ingus Posted February 21, 2002 Report Posted February 21, 2002 I'm not a big Stone fan in general. I thought Platoon was overrated but competent, so it wins by default, as JFK bored me and Natural Born Killers pissed me off. Haven't seen any of the others, though I guess I'll get around to it someday. Why the hell is U-Turn on the list? Gawd, from the shit I've heard about it, even The Hand would be a better choice.
Guest kkktookmybabyaway Posted February 21, 2002 Report Posted February 21, 2002 I'm not a huge OS fan either, but Platoon wins hands down. Wall Street comes in second.
Guest ArkhamGlobe Posted February 22, 2002 Report Posted February 22, 2002 My favorite is Salvador, which didn't even make the list for whatever reason. Out of those on the list, I'd probably go with JFK.
Guest dreamer420 Posted February 22, 2002 Report Posted February 22, 2002 He is one of my favorite directors so here is my top five. 5) Platoon 4) U-Turn (just twisted) 3) Nixon 2) Natural Born Killers 1) JFK (on of the greatest films ever made)
Guest VerbalKint Posted February 22, 2002 Report Posted February 22, 2002 My top 3 would be: 3. Wall Street 2. Platoon 1. JFK JFK is one of my favorite movies of all time. And the reason I didn't put The Hand or Salvador on the poll is because you can only have 10 options in each poll and I wanted to put the films I thought the most people had seen.
Guest HopeSpot Posted February 22, 2002 Report Posted February 22, 2002 He is my favariote director so here's my top 3: 3. Born on the Fourth of July 2. Natural Born Killers (fuck you Jingus) 1. Platoon I don't think I've ever seen a movie as good as Platoon. My uncle loves this movie and he gave me a copy of the DVD last Christmas, I was shocked, it was an absoluetly incredible piece of art IMO. A living tribute to the talent of men like Sheen and Stone. And the book is bette for Born on the Fourth of July. The chapters were Ron was a teenager were hillarious. I just find something funny about a 13 year old boy fucking a basketball and pretending its Marilyn Monroe.
Guest Anorak Posted February 23, 2002 Report Posted February 23, 2002 I'm not a big fan of Stone, but the top few for me would be.... 1. Platoon. 2. Wallstreet 3. Salvador Platoon is easily the best Stone film for me.
Guest redbaron51 Posted February 23, 2002 Report Posted February 23, 2002 Natural Born Killers was the only Stone film I liked
