Guest Tim Cooke Report post Posted July 30, 2002 Been meaning to ask this for a while but didn't get around to it. How does 7-2-95 Kong v Toyota rank in the Aja Kong 1995 tour of greatness that I keep reading about. I saw the match about a month ago. I didn't really watch it as closely as I usually do. I found it to be enjoyable.....especially seeing it in the same period of seeing some Vader matches (The Big v Small story). I know Wolverine pimps the 11/94 match (need to see) but what else do I need from 1995 as far as Aja makes people look 10x better than they really are world tour? Thanks Tim
Guest wolverine Report post Posted July 30, 2002 You mean the 6/27/95 WWWA title match? I love that match, absolutely a must-see. Their 3/26/95 one is the real stinker, where Toyota misses a great deal of her moves and there isn't any heat. Of the ones I've seen: 11/94--***** 3/95--***1/4 6/95--****1/
Guest Jubuki Report post Posted July 31, 2002 Aja was probably the best wrestler in the world on 8/30, now that you mention it. The 3/26 match is worth seeing just because Aja has one of her Supreme Ass-Stomper performances. I've got the Monday Night Sensation show around here somewhere, where I think she and Kyoko have the best match of the night, if the comments I've heard are correct. Aside from that, I can't really say; I've seen more 92 & 93 AJW (and Aja) than anything else.
Guest wolverine Report post Posted July 31, 2002 The 8/30/95 Aja-Kansai kind of reminds me of Kawada-Albright actually. Great, great performance by Aja selling the arm. I don't think it was as good as the Kawada match though. I would rate it ****1/4, and I still like it more than their BEU match.
